Gretchen Whitmer continues to take cues directly from her union bosses who shut schools down, kept our kids locked down at home longer than necessary, and created an education crisis in our state. She stood on the debate stage and blatantly lied that Michigan schools were only closed down for 3 months, her running-mate Garlin Gilchrist even had the audacity to say we must first take care of the adults in our education system - total disregard for kids and parents.

Tina Kotek spent years as Kate Brown's co-pilot, leading a one-party government that presided over massive homelessness, rising crime, failing schools, and a growing affordability crisis, without Kate Brown, Tina Kotek would have almost nothing to run on, since there was absolutely no daylight between the two on any issue of consequence. It's only right that Oregonians know Tina Kotek is Kate Brown's chosen candidate as they cast their ballots in this crucial election.

Many of the things creeping into progressive schools are things that the state supports but a lot of parents do not, the moms voting for Lee Zeldin want a return to the foundations of education: math, reading and science. We don't need political activism or age-inappropriate lessons for our kids.

We’re hearing from folks in the community that they’re tired of the politicization of the schools their children attend, it’s not just explicit materials in schools, but they're concerned about [ COVID-19 ] lockdowns, distance learning, the quality of education, woke politics in classrooms, and the achievement.

If you go back, and I ask anybody to go back over the number of times that I've said, we've got to do everything we can to keep the schools open. No one plays that clip, they always come back and say Fauci was responsible for closing schools.

According to that research, the scale of sexual abuse in the public schools is nearly 100 times greater than that of the Catholic Church, the question for critics who seek to downplay the extent of public-school sexual abuse is this: How many arrests need to happen before you consider it a problem? How many children need to be sexually abused by teachers before you consider it a crisis?

First, she colluded with the teachers unions to keep our schools closed, and now we learn that her 'parent' meeting was nothing more than placating the demands of liberal activists from dark money groups, maybe if the CDC spent less time appeasing activists and unions, kids could have returned to school faster and wouldn't be facing devastating losses in learning.

Since taking the reins of the CDC, Dr. Walensky has prioritized everything but following the science, first, she colluded with the teachers unions to keep our schools closed, and now we learn that her 'parent' meeting was nothing more than placating the demands of liberal activists from dark money groups.

We simply can’t run the risk of funds being utilized by an ISIS-inspired terrorist or domestic extremist to carry out another attack, whether that’s at Ground Zero, a shooting in Jersey City targeting the Jewish community, in temples, at schools….

Schmidt’s ad claims that he would fully fund public schools if he were elected. We got some questions about that: Most importantly, why should we believe him now? Second, why didn’t he advocate for that when he was the [state] Senate majority leader? And why would he defend Brownback’s cuts to public schools? derek Schmidt wanting to be in charge of education funding is like an arsonist wanting to be in charge of the fire department. It makes no sense. And so while we’ve got a lot of questions for Derek, there is no question about Governor Kelly’s record and her leadership when it comes to education.

By filing these resolutions of inquiry, Republicans are setting our sights on critical issues we will investigate, including the Biden-inflicted border crisis, the devastating toll of the Biden administration’s collusion with teachers’ unions to keep children masked and schools closed, the collusion between the Biden administration and big tech, the weaponization of the Justice Department, and more, for the past two years in Washington, the Biden administration’s reckless spending, support for lawless open borders, and attacks against their political opponents have all gone unchecked by Democrats in Congress — and voting against these requests prove Democrats are running cover for the corrupt Biden administration — but Republicans are committed to accountability for the American people.

They're most concerned about inflation. They're most concerned about the fact that they're seeing this silent thief that was let loose by the Biden administration steal their hard-earned money, tucked up right behind [inflation] is education, and the future for their children, and their confidence that their schools are going to work with them, not shut them out.

We are constantly faced with having to be the voice for equity on campus and we don't necessarily see that reflected within our administration or within our campus systems, i hope( Brown's lawsuit) forces both the administration and specifically Kenan Flagler Business School and other schools at this university to not only reflect how they are treating their Black students but what they can do better.

We have over incarcerated our youth as well as our adults, but we've also done it in a particularly poor way with the inclusion of SROs at our schools, so, one of the things that I've been focusing on is: What should the role of law enforcement be inside our schools? And I am a proponent of, first, eliminating SROs and diverting that money back to school counselors. So many of our students go to schools without counselors or nurses, and those should be the first-line responders when it comes to solving student problems.

We rejected the elites, and we were right, not only were they wrong about [closing] schools, the elites were wrong about lockdowns, they were wrong about epidemiological models and hospitalization models, they were wrong about forced masking, they were wrong when they rejected the existence of natural immunity, they were wrong about the efficacy of the mRNA vaccines, and they were wrong when – and I said this – that COVID was seasonal, and now they admit it.
