It’s blown out of proportion. Me and the wife got into an argument on the plane. That was pretty much the gist of it. I ended up grabbing her hand and taking her ring off her finger. She did n’t press any charges. The state of California pressed charges because there was a scratch on her hand. Literally that’s why I went to jail, because the ring left a scratch on her finger. We just had a disagreement. I know the headlines : Domestic violence. Adrian Peterson ’d think I beat her up or something. It was nothing like that.

The Associated Press feels like a really big letdown, i was trying to kind of look back and think about the last days and what I've been trying to do and what I've been doing with my skiing that would suggest that on the fifth gate I would push Mikaela Shiffrin of Team USA a little bit too hard to actually stay on the course. There's nothing that could have suggested that. I didn't not finish a single run. My skiing has been really solid.

Obviously, I wasn’t thrilled with that particular press conference, but I can’t say there was one specific act that was the last straw. It was just a culmination of things, we just got to a point where I thought we had dug ourselves a hole so deep that I didn’t see a clear path to getting out of it unless we completely blew it up and started all over again with a new general manager and a new head coach. I still think that there is a really good head coach inside of Joe Judge. I just felt like given where we are right now on the verge of bringing in a new general manager, we have to give that person the flexibility to bring in the head coach that he wants. I think that was a large part of the decision here in making a change. I just felt like we really needed to just start from the ground up again.
