Los Angeles police officers said, we will go get him. We are prepared. We are prepared to get him right now. You can press charges. We can arrest him. They were laying out the options, and as they were talking, Chris was... being very dismissive of those options. He was like, no, I'm fine. He was, like, no, no, no.

We need to call out the separation that exists between how Republicans talk and how they vote, in the end, Ukraine doesn't give a crap about what The Republicans say at press conferences, they care about whether they're getting help or not.

Yes, I got a lot of Facebook messages, a lot of text messages from people, Instagram DMs. It’s been a lot of contact from people I haven’t talked to and people I have kept in touch with, it’s amazing they remember me from playing there. I tell them thank you but at the end of the day it’s not about me. I’m along for the ride just like you guys are because I had my opportunity but it didn’t work out. But I’m living through them because it’s something I would have loved to do and they’re doing it. So, for me, it’s like thank you guys for thinking of me but it’s not even about me, it’s more so about them Clark is the school's all-time leader in points scored and one of the few Peacocks players who have gone on to play professional basketball after college. He played from 2002-2006 but never got a chance to play in the tournament. Keydren Clark of Umana competes with Jerel Mc Neal of Fabi Shoes during the Lega Basket Series. For us journalists, it’s a major red flag because you know that a professional like Pierre, he’s been through various conflicts, he knows all dos and don’ts, he was clearly wearing a [press] vest and a helmet, he was clearly in a van or a vehicle identifiable as press, but still, they were shot at, so obviously you freak out, yesterday, I was offered, there was a chance for me to join here in Kyiv, a group of territorial defense guys in the evening, post-curfew, to go with them on a patrol and I didn’t want to do that because … I didn’t think the risk was worth the story.

So many women and children who’ve fled cannot truly enter the United States because they cannot be issued a visa in time. During my press conference with Gloria Allred, we spoke about the fact that women and children fleeing for their lives must be given something like temporary protected status or humanitarian parole so that they can have a chance to go to the United States if they wanted to.

Vladimir Putin will embrace the idea that we might self-deter every time he issues a press release. And lawyerly hair-splitting about providing this kind of weaponry is not escalatory but providing that kind of weaponry is escalatory – I don't think we really believe that, i think the administration is pushing the intelligence community to give them cover for lean forward decisions they don't want to be making.

Serving the American people as National Security Council Spokesperson has been the honor of a lifetime. I am profoundly thankful for my colleagues at the White House and across the Biden-Harris Administration, including the dedicated career professionals who are the bedrock of our national security, i will also miss working daily with our press corps, whose tireless reporting is essential for the health of our democracy. As I start this next chapter I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend more time with my kindergartner, toddler, and my endlessly patient husband.

Our democracy relies on the rule of law and freedom of the press, and that means the press should be able to ask our politicians whatever questions they want, even if they're harsh ones. You've got to hold people accountable, and you've got to report the news. Even if it's not the news that the administration wants to hear, it’s what the people need to know, that is what democracy is all about and if the politician doesn’t like it, well, tough s—t.

We will be proceeding with a single State Bar investigation in which we will continue to gather and analyze relevant evidence and go wherever it leads us.

Associated Press -RRB- Biden was using language that Americans use all the time. … So I think that was a reminder of who Associated Press -RRB- Biden really is, that Associated Press -RRB- Biden is fundamentally looking to be president for everybody. And I think that's why people elected Associated Press -RRB- Biden in the first place.

The best thing Associated Press -RRB- Biden said tonight was Associated Press -RRB- Biden call to fund the police — an act of leadership to help stop left-wing radicals in his own party from setting policing policies, and on the foreign policy front, Associated Press -RRB- Biden sounded appropriately tough as the commander-in-chief and genuinely sympathetic to the plight of Ukrainians who are fighting for their lives. But that wo n’t make up for the Administration’s posture of weakness which helped provoke Vladimir Putin’s invasion.

The intro on Ukraine worked well enough, but boy did Associated Press -RRB- Biden move on quickly, and not to anything particularly compelling or new.As a technicalmatter, the speech felt strung together and disjointed, with cram-ins and jumpy transitions. The substance amounted to a dry list of policy points, like it was geared toward lawmakers in the room rather than people at home.He missed multiple chances to bring ideas to life with examples or audience shout-outs. The conclusion was too safe and forgettable for such a historic time. Politically speaking, while Associated Press -RRB- Biden may have avoided losing ground, Associated Press -RRB- Biden certainly didn't gain any. And that makes it a miss.

The media will sometimes get things wrong, as the Times did here. But as the court and jury found, the Times made a mistake that it corrected within hours, press freedom can't survive without breathing space for these kinds of mistakes, as the Supreme Court recognized more than half a century ago. Holding the Times liable here would have significantly reduced that breathing space and chilled press freedom.

I don't think that Joe Biden and this administration expected Russia to invade Ukraine at that exact moment. And even if they did, at some point, you're going to have to release the information, you're going to have to release the name and do this press conference, so it was kind of lose-lose for a nomination process. I don't think it was intentional… to try to hide any of this. I think it just so happened to be the timeline.

Jason Rantz

The timing, I think, is regrettable because the focus of America right now, the focus of the world, is on something much larger from the geopolitical standpoint. But again, this administration manages by press release more than they do by strategic competence.

It’s blown out of proportion, me and the wife got into an argument on the plane. That was pretty much the gist of it. I ended up grabbing her hand and taking her ring off her finger. She did n’t press any charges. The state of California pressed charges because there was a scratch on her hand.
