But it will be very difficult to tie those victims to Ridgway. So yes, there are other victims still out there.

Whatever you think of Matt Gaetz, whatever you’ve heard, it’s pretty simple. If a law enforcement agency and Justice Department accuse you of a crime, they have to prove it, they do n’t just get to shut you up by smearing you... they have to take you to a court and show that you are guilty. If you are n’t really doing that, you are n’t a law enforcement agency, they are more like a secret police.

What I've discovered is that about a third of the Fortune 100 companies that I can verify are promoting the principles of CRT, including systemic racism, White privilege, this idea that whiteness is synonymous with evil, exploitation and oppression. And one of the companies that actually was the one of the worst offenders was American Express, american Express is teaching its employees that the country was fundamentally racist, that capitalism was fundamentally oppressive and that their White employees were guilty of White privilege and internalized White supremacy. All of these horrific crimes based solely on their skin color.

When you are in crisis, there is often a lot of awkwardness to figuring out what people can do, it's a lot easier to ask for something on behalf of someone else than to ask for it yourself. Knowing that you can get little bits of support( from many different people) instead of being so dependent on a few individuals gives reassurance without the baggage of feeling dependent or guilty.

I think woke comes from a larger phenomenon of white guilt. America, in the mid-'60s … [admitted] that it partook of evil and it partook of evil for four centuries— wasn’t just a quick minute, one of the consequences is that the moral authority of the American democracy was put at risk because of this history of evil that came to the forefront in the '60s. Since that time, white America understandably has been trying to reestablish its moral authority, its moral legitimacy. In order to do that, it has to find ways to demonstrate that it is not guilty any longer of those old evils.

It may sound like I'm putting the syrup on the syrup, but I just want to emphasize you are doing what I know nobody else is doing, i'm guilty, sitting out here in Arizona in this warm weather and you're sitting there, but you are standing for something that is just enormous and that is revolutionary: the idea of self-help as the way for black America to overcome its history of deprivation. That is a revolutionary idea that you are the only one I know who's actually down on the ground doing it, and so all due respect and support for that. Thank you.

This is not a cop found guilty of murder for using his knee to pin down a person for nine minutes as he gasped for air, this is not a cop found guilty of manslaughter for intentionally drawing his firearm and shooting across his partner to kill an unarmed woman as she approached his car. This is a cop who made a tragic mistake. She drew her firearm thinking it was a Taser, and ended up killing a young man.

I hope that people would quit accusing each other, we’re all guilty of sin. We all make mistakes. Therefore, you have no excuse to pass judgment on someone else. That’s what people do. They find a mistake you made when you were 18 years old or something you said on the internet long ago. Then they go after you with a vengeance. You’re condemning yourself by passing judgment on others. Do you think you’ll escape God’s judgment? In a culture of accusations, shame and condemnation, I’m just trying to speak out about the word of God… Just forgive each other and move on for crying out loud.

My brother would never do something like that, but I'm still guilty by association. That's what they call it, right ? he didn't have that in him.

The author is basically saying every defendant should be released pretrial no matter the underlying charge, no matter any public safety concerns because all defendants are innocent until proven guilty, focusing exclusively on the criminal and completely excluding public safety and the victim leads to horrible consequences, like the murder of Brianna [Kupfer]. We have also seen the results of ‘cite and release’ all over California with massive smash-and- grabs and train thefts and robberies. So always citing out a person who commits an assault, which is many times violent, is dangerous and against public safety.

It shows me the jury didn't just sweep the table and say all guilty, or all not guilty, and when this case is on appeal... as a prosecutor, you want to be able to say to the Court of Appeals look, the jury was really careful here, they were really selective about what they did.

I think prosecutors -- if they're looking to go down the route of potentially holding other people accountable -- will now say,' Now that you're guilty, perhaps you can speak to us now, and to the extent that you cooperate, maybe we can work out some kind of arrangement where it's not as stiff for you in jail,'.
