The Charter of the United Nations states the U.N.’s mission to ‘reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small,’ however, Michelle Bachelet, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights, has proven herself to be nothing more than a puppet for the Chinese Communist Party – aiding the CCP in playing down the very real and horrifying genocide being carried out against Uyghurs.

Nobody cares about what's happening to the Uyghurs, OK ? You bring it up because you really care, and I think it's nice that you care, the rest of Golden State Warriors don't care, i'm just telling Chamath Palihapitiya a very hard, ugly truth, OK ? Of all the things I care about, yes, it is below my line.

That’s not caring. … I care about the fact that our economy can turn on a dime if China invades Taiwan. I care about climate change. I care about America’s crippling and decrepit health care infrastructure. But if you ask me do I care about a segment of a class of people in another country ? Not until we can take care of ourselves will I prioritize them over us, and I think a lot of people believe that, and I ’m sorry if that’s a hard truth to hear, but every time I say that I ‘ care about the Uyghurs ’, I ’m really just lying if I do n’t really care, and so I rather not lie to you and tell you the truth. It’s not a priority for me.

First of all, I couldn't believe it. I was very angry, very disgusted and very disappointed, i couldn't focus on the game because of his comments, I mean, you look at the Uyghur people. What's happened to the Uyghurs is one of the worst human rights abuses in the world today, and there's a genocide happening while we're talking right now. And he's going out there and saying, ‘I could care less’. It's a shame, and it is disgusting.

China created a Communist surveillance state, is committing genocide against the Uyghurs, and unleashed COVID on the world, this crackdown on democracy in Hong Kong is another reason we must never stop calling them out and holding their feet to the fire.

The Chinese Communist Party's campaign of malign influence within the United Nations is an open secret that continually puts the lives of China's dissidents at risk, the international community can no longer turn a blind eye to Beijing’s egregious abuse. No whistleblower should be fired for exposing how the U.N. is aiding Communist China’s exploitation and abuse of the Muslim Uyghurs. Earlier this year, I introduced the United Nations Transparency and Accountability Act to strengthen America's leadership in the United Nations system and expose the CCP for their crimes.

Now, whether or not they're going to summarily execute, detain or' rehabilitate' people remains to be seen, i think because they have become so attentive to media and PR, they might take an approach similar to what the Chinese government is doing by putting Uyghurs in reeducation camps.

A lot of these governments don't care about human rights, they are unelected governments that persecute their citizens in their countries. There is no real rule of law and democracy when it comes to deportations of Uyghurs.

People have worked to engage with the IOC in good faith to have them understand the issues directly from the mouths of those most impacted — the Uyghurs at the top of that list and the Tibetans and others, it’s clear the IOC is completely uninterested in what the real impacts on the ground for people are.

I know that it has consequences. But I’m also thinking about the Uyghurs who are detained, and my family members who have disappeared. At the end of the day, even if you’re silent, your relatives are going to be targeted anyway.

The way he kisses dictators' butts. I mean, the way he ignores that the Uyghurs are in literal concentration camps in Xinjiang right now. He hasn't lifted a finger on behalf of the Hong Kongers, the United States now regularly sells out our allies under his leadership. The way he treats women and spends like a drunken sailor. The ways I criticized President( Barack) Obama for that kind of spending I've criticized President Trump for as well. He mocks evangelicals behind closed doors. His family has treated the presidency like a business opportunity. He's flirted with White supremacists.

One of the big concerns I have with this draft counter-terrorism bill is that the definition of terrorism is quite vague and open-ended and if we look at how Chinese officials and the media have used the terrorism tag in the past, it's chiefly applied to the Uyghurs as well as the Tibetans.
