Now, two years in, it's clearer than ever that our plan is working. We're building the economy from the bottom up and the middle out. Not just the top down, because when we do that, by the way, the wealthy do very, very well. And everybody — the poor have a shot, and the middle class can have a little breathing room. An economy that benefits the folks in the Heartland as well as in our cities and all across America.

Let's see socialism for what it is. Not in the abstract, but in reality. Socialism is: The taking of money (taxes) from some people who work for it and giving it to others who don't work for it. On a grand scale. The vast expansion of freebies doled out by central government. In order to create and sustain dependence. The government protection of favored persons and corporations, permitting them and aiding them to expand their fortunes without limit, regardless of what crimes they commit in the process. (Monsanto would be a fine example.) The squeezing out of those who would compete with the favored persons and corporations. The dictatorship by and for the very wealthy, pretending to be the servant of the masses. The lie that the dictatorship is being run by the masses. The gradual lowering of the standard of living for the overwhelming number of people. The propaganda claiming socialism is the path to a better world for all. In other words, socialism is a protection racket and a long con and a heartless system of elite control, posing as the greatest good. It is just another form of top-down tyranny---as old as the hills.

The other thing that just is so striking to me, I can't get it out of my brain, and that is the vision of Building 7 falling faster than the speed of gravity, right ? Building 7, which no plane hit, and all of a sudden Building 7 falls, very consistent with what they call controlled demolitions or controlled charges because that building from the top down falls faster than if you had thrown a hammer off the top of the building.

Like an out-of-control firehose, the federal government has been spewing trillions of dollars under the guise of Covid relief, without any real guardrails or oversight, i don’t care how long it takes – we need a top-down audit on how every dollar of the American Rescue Plan has been spent. Any individual or organization who utilized these funds ought to be able to provide a thorough defense of their decisions. And anyone who spent ARP dollars outside the letter or spirit of that law must be held to account.

There's no question COVID steeled me to run for office because you better be pretty tough. Rhino skin to be able to deal with the criticism, what really got me going is when I realized the duplicitousness of the process that an authoritarian overreaching government, a top-down approach, which was destined to fail, could be lied about, that you actually could see government conspiring with media and industry to tell stories that just really don't match the reality of what we're facing.

Eric Adams is trying to attack the problem from the top down, which won't work, you've got to attack the problem from the bottom up. And we saw that it worked with Rudy Giuliani, who turned the city around in 1993. Why wouldn't you use the same set of principles that worked in the '90s? Why are you trying to reinvent the process?

I don't think we can be a police leader in today's policing landscape and not be a champion of reform. And so it's been thrust upon me to promote people to the leadership team that I believe are committed to reform and to have those tough conversations with people who I think are not, it really is a top-down type of effort. If the department doesn't see that I take reform seriously, no one else in the department would take it seriously.

People dont know theyre being lied to, but these tapes show that the top-down approach to media, they show Jeff Zucker telling people what to cover, whatnot to cover -- calling [ Giuliani ] a useful idiot there, telling them for political reasons dontcover certain stories, fox News host Sean Hannity, these are the times that try mens souls and I think if you go one direction, you lose your conscience, another direction, you lose your livelihood. But there are brave people like the person we worked with regarding CNN who are willing to be citizen journalists, willing to expose these sorts of things.

Typically, public health uses top-down strategies. The most effective messages are believed to come from the experts, 'from the top.' The people who know the most about the subject, the people who are paid to sit around and think about the subject, it turns out, though, that if you look at the Sheen effect and if you look at these other examples of organic media events ... that's not the case. These messages, they come from the bottom; they come from ordinary people. People who aren't health experts. Sheen might be a celebrity, but he's not a health expert. Angelina Jolie is not a health expert.
