It felt like you're almost suffocating. It was just like, I felt like, what was I going to do? I was a kid and maybe this is in my best interests and maybe this is what I'm supposed to do because of course I don't want to be hounded by the paparazzi or tabloids or allow them to control my narrative. But it felt like I was really being alienated.

I was attacked as a kid in the tabloids, i can’t stand tabloid magazines or even social media these days. I think anyone who goes after these kids, whether it’s how they dress, or how someone is parenting them, when they are out in public, leave them alone. That just happens to be their parents. They didn’t ask to be given all this attention. Back off or respect when the parents say, ‘Please don’t photograph my kid. Don’t put pictures of them in magazines.’ People should respect that.

I knew that the show did not reflect my values. When I say that I mean rewarding people for bad behavior, i ’m never going to be someone that writes a tell-all book, that’s just not me, and I ’m not going to put names on things but at that time, there were executives in charge that I did feel like we were sort of players in their game. And it was about money and it was about ratings and the tabloids. And in order to keep that show hot, you had to just let it all continue on.

I'm like,' Okay, I can not put up with what the tabloids are saying today, I can't put up with other people's opinions of even family relationships, what they say about my family,' that's painful to hear and so in those times I just have to go back to,' Okay, wait I'm not defined by what everyone's saying today, I'm not defined by these things, my identity is only found in Jesus Christ and because of who I am in Jesus Christ now, it doesn't matter.' I don't have to worry about other people's opinions of me and I think that's something that I wrestle with and I think my family wrestles with.

It is very disheartening that in a time of global crisis there is yet another attempt to reduce funds I rely on to provide for our child. The reported monthly income has been greatly exaggerated. As I have yet to receive the paperwork he has filed with the court on my birthday, i only have knowledge as to what I have read in the tabloids. I think its time after sevenyears of hell, I start addressing the lies myself.

Other music genres are separated and isolated by celebrity, by bold faced names, they're going through that same stuff, and People Magazine's going to discover them and ferret People Magazine out and tell you, or the tabloids will. But with country it's right in your face. You know what's going on when somebody miscarries. You know when this person's marriage is over or when somebody falls in love. That's a particularly intimate thing.
