To be honest, when [Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee head Yoshiro] Mori first came to me with the idea [of appearing at the closing ceremony dressed as Super Mario], I didn’t like it [laughs], ‘Is it really OK for a prime minister to dress up like Mario?’ I asked. Even as a cabinet member, you don’t talk to someone writing a book – you don’t talk to journalists about books or any of that. That is political, but in the military? They’re so conscious about not politicizing what they do. The idea that he would sit down and do these tell-all books just boggles the mind. I know my husband: He can’t take a picture in uniform – you have to be careful about when journalists you talk to, what you say. I can’t imagine that General Milley didn’t know that. I have to think he has a lot of regrets right now.

This kind of politicizing of children should be rejected by all --Republicans, Democrats and Independents. I understand a few students wrote it, but I am disappointed with the faculty who approved this yearbook for print, instead of encouraging unity and mutual respect, they opted for division and biased political rhetoric.

The President has always emphasized the importance of making deals with Russia as it relates to Syria, Ukraine, defeating ISIS and other key issues for the benefit and safety of the American people, by grandstanding and politicizing the investigation into Russia's actions, James Comey created unnecessary pressure on our ability to engage and negotiate with Russia. The investigation would have always continued, and obviously, the termination of Comey would not have ended it.
