Today, some analysts ask whether incorporating into bank supervision the perceived risks associated with climate change is appropriate, wise, and consistent with our existing mandates, in my view, the Fed does have narrow, but important, responsibilities regarding climate-related financial risks. These responsibilities are tightly linked to our responsibilities for bank supervision. The public reasonably expects supervisors to require that banks understand, and appropriately manage, their material risks, including the financial risks of climate change.

This decline may be due to a combination of multiple factors such as high housing prices, high mortgage rates, and the recent wave of tech layoffs on the West Coast, with more companies announcing their return-to-office mandates last week, some remote workers may choose to relocate back to major cities or tech hubs. As home prices are still high and mortgage rates are up compared to one year ago, people who move back may prefer to stay in the rental market, driving up the already high rental demand in these areas.

Attacks on this ad are an attack on every Kansas parent, like Natalie, who is disappointed, frustrated and angry about Laura Kelly’s lockdowns and mandates, it’s one thing for the governor to tell parents over and over she ‘makes no apologies’ for the damage she's done to our kids, but it’s shameful her team is stooping to attacking Kansas parents because her loyalists can’t defend her record.

There's no doubt in my mind that this draconian 1901 law will have dire consequences on the health and well-being of Arizona Superior Court women and their families, this cruel law effectively outlaws abortion in Arizona — with no exceptions for rape or incest — and risks women's fundamental freedom to make their own health care decisions. ... To make matters worse, this law mandates jail time for abortion providers. Medical professionals will now be forced to think twice and call their lawyer before providing patients with oftentimes necessary, lifesaving care.
