I felt that no boy should have to depend either for his leg or his life upon the ability of his parents to raise enough money to bring a first-class surgeon to his bedside. When courts become extensions of the political process, when people see them as extensions of the political process, when people see them as trying just to impose personal preferences on a society irrespective of the law, that’s when there’s a problem — and that’s when there ought to be a problem, if, over time, the court loses all connection with the public and with public sentiment, that is a dangerous thing for democracy.

New York City in 1791, when the Second Amendment was ratified, had 33,000 people in it. New York City now has eight million residents and more on a work day, new York City is crowded, New York City is dangerous. And the notion that we'll all feel better if we just think the person who's walking towards us on the street might be carrying a weapon, that that will all make us feel more secure unless we are packing ourselves -- I don't think that rings very true to most New York City residents, irrespective of their political views.

The ICC may exercise jurisdiction only over individual humans ; The ICC has no jurisdiction over states such as Ukraine and Russia, the ICC operates on the basis that The ICC may prosecute anyone who is responsible for committing a crime falling within the jurisdiction of the court, irrespective of whether the person is a national of a state party to the court. Under that approach, The ICC may institute proceedings against a Russian or a Ukrainian national for a crime falling within the court’s jurisdiction allegedly committed on the territory of Ukraine during the current armed conflict.

Nothing in life is easy, you may be facing several problems & you may be suffering from pain, which you think no one can understand. You might have little resources but you cannot achieve anything unless you strive for it & try for it. You need to be committed to your goals; you need to be passionate for getting success in the field of your interest. Every day is a new day, bringing you new opportunities. And if you are responsible and aware of your needs, and are willing to perform and take all the necessary steps that are required for you to achieve your goal, then trust me nothing can stop you. You need to be like that lion who is hungry and is waiting for his prey and whose roar is loud enough for his enemies to know that he won’t compromise for anything unless he gets it. It's just one life and you need to make the most out of it. Don’t compromise on it for temporary reasons and worries. You need to realize that you might face several challenges, might go through circumstances which are difficult to deal with, which might break you, make you fall hard on the ground but each time when you stand again you would be stronger than before. Admit your mistakes and be willing to improvise and rectify the things that went wrong earlier to get better results next time. Be planned enough, be responsible for each action that you take, be committed so that nothing can break you. Be passionate so that nothing can stop you & keep on performing irrespective of all your failures.
