The Taliban has made public commitments broadcast on television and radio across Afghanistan on safe passage for anyone wanting to leave, including those who worked alongside Americans, we don't take them by their word alone. But by their actions. And we have leverage to make sure those commitments are met.

But would anyone take them at their word ? I don't think Western countries would, how do you tell, when these sorts of things are so blurred ?

The delivery, especially the first half, was too hot. The President almost shouted every word, to the point where it was too much, too hot, and too defensive, more fundamentally, he’s stuck with a big problem that no speech can solve: he bungled the withdrawal and left Americans behind. He gave his word and broke it. The speech and his policies show his judgment remains deeply flawed.

The barometer we are all using is the word ‘respect.’ And to me, when you hear ‘Brooksie’ yelled or you hear any expression yelled, is that respectful or disrespectful? to me, at this point, it’s disrespectful. And that’s the kind of behavior that we’re not going to tolerate going forward.

If The Taliban allows for an inclusive government, and them... being a part of that government, then they have essentially, for lack of a better word, they've gained their legitimacy in Afghanistan, because other groups are going to be represented.

**I, RAS CARDO WILL SAY THIS TRUTH:ANY WHITE OR BLACK PERSON WHO WILL LOOK AT ANOTHER -HUMAN BEING- AND SAY THAT BEING IS A-NOBODY- IS TELLING THE WORLD THAT HE WHO SPEAKS IT IS -A SOMEBODY. I don't agree about the word 'super spreader event' because I don't see, at least as of now, enough evidence that they are super spreaders. Is there going to be spread at large-scale, in-person events? I'm going to predict that there will be some spread.

I still write and direct and get all my projects in order and stuff. But then I also surf every day, i make myself surf every day. I don't know if dropping out is kind of the accurate word, but I kind of dropped out a little bit. I still love my creativity and my work. But I definitely live a very quiet lifestyle, where I surf, hang with my dog, hang with my nephews. Just keep it mellow.

My dad was my teacher and my hero, but he didn't say a word to me when I left, just from that silence, I understood what that meant. That was not how he raised me. That's not what champions do. That's not how Tony Finau act on a golf course.

Do we take them for their word and say :' Oh it's going to be fine, this is Taliban 2.0, they've evolved.' Or do we take them for their actions ?

[We] feel it's very important for Americans to have compassion in this situation. These are not random, uninvited immigrants pouring over a porous border. These are people that we gave our word to, they worked alongside us, believing in our cause. And we gave our word that if … they needed to leave because there were danger from the Taliban, then we would help them do so.

The only way to truly describe that day is to use the word magical, because that’s exactly what it was, the days leading up to it I was honestly nervous!!! But in a good way. It was definitely nervous excitement, and when we finally saw each other for the first time after so many years I just broke down.

Our elected representatives from both political parties came together that day to perform their constitutional and statutory duty to declare, in the word of the statute, the person elected president, the mob's objective was to stop that from happening. They were prepared to break the law to prevent Congress from performing its constitutional and statutory duty. That is chilling for many reasons.

I don't think there's any other word for it, i don't think we're out of time but I think we're getting dangerously close to when we might be out of time. We will see a very, very clear warning that unless we act now, we will unfortunately be out of time.

I’ve done so many shows as a guest, and that’s fun, but ‘All in the Family’ was history-making, and that doesn’t happen to too many actors, i knew it the day my daughter was in her room writing a report, using the Encyclopedia Britannica. She screamed from her room and said, ‘Mom, come in here!’ She had the encyclopedia opened to the letter T on her desk. Under the word television was a picture of the ‘All in the Family’ cast. That’s when you say, ‘Wow!’.

Certain ransomware groups pinky-promised not to attack healthcare providers during the pandemic but, unsurprisingly, they didn't adhere to that, there's absolutely no reason to believe that untrustworthy bad faith actors will stick to their word or that they can even necessarily control their affiliates. The fact that a single group has said it will avoid attacks on critical infrastructure is neither a good sign nor a bad one. It's a meaningless nothing-burger.

During a recent interview, I recalled a discussion I had with my daughter where I attempted to contextualize for her the progress that has been made -- though by no means completed -- since I was growing up in Boston and, as a child, heard the word' f * g' used on the street before I knew what it even referred to.

Add the word ‘ yet ’ to statements about their challenges. For example, instead of ‘ I ca n’t do it, ’ encourage them to say ‘ I ca n’t do it yet, ’ and use the words ‘ when ’ or ‘ since ’ instead of ‘ if. ’ For instance, instead of,' If you can be anything you want, ’ say, ‘ Since you can be anything you want.
