M.O.M.S.= mothers of murdered sons. When I wrote this in my book-(c)-2000- profiles in courage of ghetto mothers- isbn # 1584700416- it was done with that passion within me for my people, and the love I have and seen from those who are poor. I have seen many lives gone astray because of poverty and the ways it forces some of us to live- homeless-in prisons- drug dependent- losing one's sense of purpose- losing one's life. My life's work so far, is spent in helping others not to lose their way. This is why I also created my reggae to heal the nations.

Money and power is the biggest rat race in our nation today. It is the root of every evil, to gain more control over the poor to keep them in castration. In these modern times, money and power rules. Starting from the top to the bottom, of the hierarchy. Both coming from old money and new money. The split between being born rich with a silver spoon in your mouth, or being born poor living in Ghetto. Or the unforeseen fortune of the poor moving from rags to riches. To eat from the same rich man's plate.”

I can put myself in their shoes because I was once in them, i don't justify it because I don't think you can justify it, but at the end of the day I understand how they can get to that point. They're young and vulnerable. It's the same way that a kid in the ghetto joins a gang.
