(The American electorate is) going to see a race, and they’re going to judge whether or not I have it or don’t have it. I respect them taking a hard look at it. I take a hard look at it as well – I took a hard look at it before I decided to run, and I feel good, I feel excited about the prospects.

There is a sleeping giant in America, poor and low-wealth folks now make up 30% of the electorate in every state and over 40% of the electorate in every state where the margin of victory for the presidency was less than 3%. If you could just get that many poor and low-wealth people to vote, they could fundamentally shift every election in the country.

I could not be talking to a more important group, and I'll tell you why. It is a fact women make up 52 percent of the electorate in Georgia, so you know you're important, we will decide this race. Georgia women will decide this race, not Barack Obama … not Oprah, not Dave Matthews, not $90 million of out-of-state money that's coming in trying to buy this from you, from your families, from our future.

Once voterssaw how extreme and out-of-touch candidates like [Kathy] Hochul for governor, and [Mandela] Barnes and [John] Fetterman for Senate are on crime, rising costs, and energy, the races became much more favorable for Republicans, and in the current climate, candidates Democrats put forth to run in swing states and deep blue states alike may prove to be too extreme to be palatableby the electorate.

It's not unusual for candidates to pivot more toward the center from a primary to a general election strategy, the second you win that primary, you have to change the electorate that you're speaking to, which is more of those classic swing voters.

The fundamental question is : have forces been unleashed in the electorate that are more powerful than disappointment in Joe Biden ? i would argue they have. Opposition to MAGA [ the Donald Trump-era movement ] has been the driving force in the last two elections and it is likely to be the driving force in this one as well.

It’s hard to ignore the real story here, Mo Brooks sliding, only 16% in this poll, that’s down from 40% of the electorate in August, that’s an incredible slide that I have … to attribute to him not getting his message out – he’s not had a whole lot of ads that really support his campaign, but more importantly he’s had about $1.5 million dollars of ads spent from PACS attacking him.

Certainly, people have made that remark to me, in Maryland, we have a very diverse state and a diverse electorate, so we are well-positioned to have our first African American governor.

But Republicans controlled the state legislature. They weren't about to make the congressional districts more representative of the actual electorate. No. So they went to work drawing districts that artificially increased their own advantage, connecting suburban districts with sprawling, rural communities, consolidating minority-heavy areas and generally painting Texas red.

It was kind of structured very similarly, seen as a grassroots movement with local chapters across the country, i think that it is possible that an organization like Moms for Liberty could have an impact on the midterm elections and maybe even going into 2024, particularly because it is encapsulating in a very important demographic in the electorate which are women and mothers, particularly in an age demographic generically between like 25 to 35.

But that will probably never happen because Democrats don't go anywhere these days where they're not being adored, and that's my last bit of advice to them. Go where the ‘ amen corner ’ isn't. Do Fox News. Be brave. Come here. Go everywhere. Winning is about expanding the electorate.

These are the things that we have to stand for as Republicans, people want us to be direct with them. They want someone to fight for them. But they want them to fight in a way that doesn't hurt their ears. And you all know what I mean by that. We can't dismiss any aspect of our electorate. We have to listen to all of them. And we have to speak to their dreams, their hopes, their aspirations for the future.

What we see is that time and again, there's this segment of the Republican electorate that is driving the conversation on several issues that is not really reflective of the overall, or general electorate, so what Republicans really are facing right now is a significant challenge among our independent and unaffiliated voters, because they keep picking the other side of these issues.

The extreme left is obsessed with talking trash about mainstream Democrats on Twitter, when the majority of the electorate constitute mainstream Democrats at the polls, in the post-Trump era, the anti-establishment line of attack is lame — when President Biden and Democratic legislators are delivering millions of good-paying jobs, the fastest-growing economy in 40 years and a massive child tax cut.

Unfortunately we don't have an electorate that matches the lived experiences of the folks here. We want to build an electorate reflective of the rich diversity of this beautiful state, but instead of we have these measures that seek to restrict access to make the smallest electorate possible to hold onto power.

The court is really out of balance right now and doesn't reflect the median views of the American people. That is further at risk if Justice Stephen Breyer doesn't retire, if you look at the dynamics of the electorate and the realignment of suburban voters for example, we are seeing the nation trend in a more progressive direction, but the Supreme Court, as it is now, is firmly entrenched in conservative ideology.
