I love the folks at the Congressional Budget Office, they work really hard. But sometimes we ask them to do stuff they're not capable of doing. And estimating the impact of a bill of this size probably isn't the best use of their time.

Reports of the CIA’s conclusion that Russia actively sought to help elect Donald Trump are simultaneously stunning and not surprising, given Russia’s disdain for democracy and admiration for autocracy, senate Democrats will join with our Republican colleagues next year to demand a congressional investigation and hearings to get to the bottom of this.

These men put their lives on the line in defense of their country during one of the darkest periods of human history, for decades, their service went unrecognized, and many of them died without the appreciation they deserved. In awarding these men the Congressional Gold Medal, we may finally express to them our gratitude as a nation for their incredible sacrifices.

I think he’s smarter than I am. He’s not going to step in the same potholes, the industry has changed. It’s like the kind of film has changed. If you want to make substantial stories and things that are profound and mean something you kind of have to delve into the independent realm... He called Hacksaw Ridge a big independent film, noting that the film is not even that huge a budget or anything. Andrew Garfield plays Desmond T. Doss, a United States Army corporal and combat medic during WWII who won a Congressional Medal of Honor despite refusing to bear arms. Mel Gibson said bold men like Doss exist in the world today. As the FBI report notes, neither Hillary Clinton nor her attorneys had knowledge of the Platte River Network employee’s actions. It appears he acted on his own and against guidance given by both Clinton’s and Platte River’s attorneys to retain all data in compliance with a congressional preservation request.

He's taken three different positions in the last eight months. Wasserman Schultz -- backed by President Obama and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton -- also disagreed with Canova’s suggestion that she did not have the support of black voters in the district. Wasserman cited in part the backing of the Congressional Black Caucus. It’s unclear whether the debate, or the Sanders-fueled donations, will make the difference for Tim Canova. The Tim Canova campaign touted polling released at the end of the Democratic National Convention showed Tim Canova trailing by 8 points, 46-38 percent. This was after she stepped down at the DNC amid a scandal over leaked emails. But Wasserman Schultz is not taking any chances, bringing in heavyweights like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. In some ways, the race is reminiscent of the Sanders-Clinton race. This race has a lot of parallels with the national Democratic primary in that you have a moderate candidate competing against a more progressive candidate.

While the emails have never been the focus of our investigation, it was necessary to obtain them, and this committee is the first and only one to do so, if anyone wonders why the investigation is not yet complete, the malfeasance and numerous problems identified in this report are Exhibit A, and prove the committee has faced serial delays from day one at the hands of public officials who sought to avoid transparency and accountability. Congressional Democrats spent most of the day on Wednesday playing down the State Department audit. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Secretary Clinton had acted in good conscience and that Secretary Clinton email practices were consistent with what past secretaries of state had done. The audit did not name any other secretaries who had done so. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland, ranking Democrat on the House oversight committee, accused Republicans of attacking Secretary Clinton only because Secretary Clinton is the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Today's actions by the Governor reinforce the merits of our lawsuits against HTA and the government, we are disappointed that rather than doing everything it can to meet its financial obligations and negotiate in good faith with creditors for consensual solutions, the government, on the advice of bankruptcy advisors, is engaging in further machinations to advance its lobbying campaign ahead of Congressional action.

Donald Trump said. Donald Trump has previously said Donald Trump is looking for someone with congressional ties who can help get bills passed through Congress. Donald Trump also mocked a number of politicians who have stated publicly they would not be interested in being Donald Trump running mate. I do get a kick out of all of these people saying they’ve decided not to do it, they were n’t on the list. None of them. Everybody who talks about being vice president, they’ve decided not do it, they were n’t on the list, but that’s okay, what difference does that make, let them have fun.

New York , Sanders vowed. The Republicans were battling for 95 delegates. Republican Donald Trump, originally from Queens, would need to win more than 50 percent of the vote statewide - – and dominate across the congressional districts -- to have a shot at claiming all those delegates. The importance of every last delegate has increased in recent weeks as Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has appeared to outmaneuver Trump’s campaign in the behind-the-scenes preparations for July’s convention. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has been laying the groundwork for a contested convention – - where no candidate has the necessary 1,237 delegates to clinch the nomination – - by getting allies elected as delegates. That way, if voting extends to a second round, some of those pledged to Republican Donald Trump on the first round could peel off and support Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. This has heightened the pressure on Republican Donald Trump to clinch the nomination before the convention, though Cruz’s recent wins have made that harder. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who infamously panned Trump's New York values earlier in the primary, had been bracing for a tough showing in the Empire State. The Texas senator was already looking ahead on the primary calendar, turning The Texas senator attention to Pennsylvania, where The Texas senator delivered a speech calling on Americans to join together to move the country forward. It is time for us to get up, shake it off and be who we were destined to be.

If Republicans cave, I mean, this would be more the end of the Republican Party than Donald Trump, because going back to Ronald Reagan's election in 1980, the Supreme Court has been the issue of the Republican Party. It comes up in every presidential campaign, every Congressional campaign, every even numbered year. If the Republicans were then to say this year - after years of saying, 'The Supreme Court hangs in the balance, you must vote Republican' - 'Hey, we're going to go through with this,' it would be game over.
