There was an academic survey about a decade ago that found viewers who watch no news were better informed than those who watched Fox News. This might be hilarious if Fox News wasn't also the most watched cable network in America. Then it's terrifying.

So instead of building a massively expensive cable, simply put in the solar farm … create the hydrogen, put in the nitrogen, if you want ammonia, (or) carbon dioxide, if you want synthetic green methane, or just straight hydrogen, and ship that to Singapore, because that’s what they’re telling me they want. the shipping part has never been done, there’s nothing to work off – you’re really breaking new ground.

I used to anchor at CNN, and now I just yell at CNN, i think originally,it was pretty much 99 percent news content… as cable news evolved and more competition came into the fray, you had more opinion, particularly in the evening hours. And I would say that’s the major difference now. But maybe with the new ownership that may revert to more just basic news coverage.

What I would hope is that the media would have a better job reaching out to the individuals who live in these neighborhoods, and not simply keeping the NAACP on speed dial. I think that's a real disservice to the people in these communities who are being misrepresented, both in Washington and on cable television.

It's been a really tough day, today, and a tough few days for us here at CNN, so the truth is that we're all heartbroken because we lost our leader here. We lost a man who was the backbone, the glue and the spirit of this company, the man who I personally credit with change in my life, the man who believed in me when nobody else did. He is the reason that you have a gay, Black man with two hours of primetime, a show with my name on it, the only anchor of color in primetime on cable news, think about that. You want to talk about diversity? Here it is.

Voters in November are going to be focusing on whether their paycheck is going as far as they think it should, whether their streets and neighbors are safe, whether their schools are open and performing well and whether our Covid response makes sense to them. there is a difference between letting a handful of senators go on their evening cable shows and blast the President's nominee and it being the central focus of the party.

We're going to look at producers and correspondents at Fox, and then outside of Fox, to really get out there into the country, in the capital. You know, in California, wherever the story is, and they’re going to be bringing back video and stories to us, i like enterprise reporting aspect of cable news, I like confrontations and I love listening to what people want to say… so we’re definitely going to have a footprint out there.

But I'm sorry, if you're watching cable news all day, right ? Getty Images's what you're gon na think, there is misinformation and not just on podcasts and the internet. It's also on cable news. I think the biggest thing to me about the Democrats is … the Democrats is supposed to be the party of the little guy … You know what the Democrats are now comfortable with, or seemingly comfortable with ? A two-tiered system in which the haves get to go into a restaurant, laugh with their friends for hours and the people serving them are masked and wearing gloves. Where they get to walk, as AOC did, at the Met Gala while in the background the staff looked like they were in' The Handmaid's Tale.' I mean, this is, this is a look that is unbelievably detrimental to them.

Sure, it's New Year's Eve and some lighthearted revelry is in order, but the Cohen outburst just didn't belong on the once-proud cable channel. And once Cohen's rant took off, nobody in the production center apparently had enough sense to cut his microphone or switch to another shot, when you let the hosts get out of control, the channel should expect some out of control content.

Typically, communications lines( telephone, cable, internet, etc.) would not be the cause of a fire.

So if that means that cable news ratings go down? Aww. So I’m not really that concerned about it. I would prefer that my ratings go down and Trump not be in office than my ratings be sky-high and him be there. That’s the honest truth. encyclopedia.
