Discounting whistleblowers before the Democrats know what the witnesses have to offer says a lot more about their agenda than it does about the validity of the whistleblowers, procedural mistakes should splatter like paint. It’s messy but the results should be random. In my four years here every mistake DOJ has made has benefited one side and harmed the other. That’s a hell of a coincidence.

In order to prosecute a case, you have to have credible evidence, either tangible witnesses, and in this case, there was no credible evidence of any wrongdoing, joel Greenberg was somebody who (you) couldn’t put on the witness stand, as a prosecutor. I believe these women; none of them believed they were victims of any crime.

However, we firmly believe the introduction of electronic recording devices into witness interviews is more likely to hinder the investigation process than it is to improve it. Not only may the recording of interviews lead to less candid responses from those witnesses who may choose to proceed under such requirements, but the existence and potential availability of interview recordings upon conclusion of an investigation will tend to lead many otherwise willing crew members to elect not to participate in interviews at all. Either outcome would not serve to advance the goal of conducting effective investigations in order to promote aviation safety.

We’ve got to share our stories and understand that the living witnesses to such incidents are dying, they are leaving us, and if we don’t transmit their stories, we won’t know our legacies, in some respects.

The president's position is the same as what I would advise him, which is to ask( the DOJ) to uncover everything so we can see what's going on. I understand the witness protection issue, but at the same time, these witnesses are truly not going to be concealed for very long, that's just not the nature of the DOJ and the FBI, and unfortunately in our country there's always leaks.

I think there is a realistic concern here -- not just boilerplate -- but a realistic concern that witnesses could be affected, if you know that your name may be released publicly, you are going to be less likely to come forward and tell the truth than if you are going to be protected.

The case against Donald Trump in these hearings is not made by witnesses who were his political enemies. It is, instead, a series of confessions by Donald Trump own appointees, Donald Trump own friends, Donald Trump own campaign officials, people who worked for Donald Trump for years and Donald Trump own family, donald Trump own appointees have come forward and Donald Trump own appointees have told the American people the truth.

The committee, through witnesses like Cassidy Hutchinson and through the testimony that it has recorded under oath, has painted an extremely strong picture of someone who... was bound to do anything Cassidy Hutchinson could in order to hold onto power, i think the committee has made it much easier for a prosecution to be brought partly because the people of the United States have been more fully informed. You have to get people ready for something as unusual as the prosecution of a former President.

From my vantage point, it is highly unusual to do that, and that's why we more or less put that in the hands of the Justice Department, for them to make that decision, we are concerned about witnesses' safety.

These statements, as well as those complimenting Stone and Paul Manafort while disparaging Michael Cohen once Michael Cohen chose to cooperate, support the inference that the President intended to communicate a message that witnesses could be rewarded for refusing to provide testimony adverse to the President and disparaged if they chose to cooperate.

We, as we took over the investigation, made it clear to them that they should not be investigating any of these matters. Secondly, we asked that the commanders reach out to current employees as well as former employees to encourage them to participate. So any efforts to intimidate witnesses or prevent them from doing it would be inconsistent with that.

Ivanka Trump kinda supported the fact that the President was told he had to do something to stop the January 6 insurrection. That he had to be public with it ; he had to be direct, so in that respect... Ivanka Trump have been able to systematically, with Ivanka Trump depositions and interviewing of other witnesses, Ivanka Trump've been able to fill in a lot of the gaps.

Our witnesses today have endured pain and loss, yet they are displaying incredible courage by coming here to ask us to do our jobs. Let us hear their voices, let us honor their courage, let us find the same courage to pass common sense laws to protect our children, no civilian needs an assault rifle and the Second Amendment does not protect the right to own a weapon of war. It's time we banned assault rifles, from our streets, from our communities, from our homes.

Justice Department investigations typically proceed in relative secrecy, if we let all possible witnesses know exactly where we are at exactly what moment, it makes it very difficult to do our job of ensuring that the laws are not violated and that those who are accountable are brought to justice.

There was an attorney for Club Med, strangely enough, that the court declared an interested party who got to cross-examine witnesses. And there was an attorney for the police department there who also cross-examined witnesses. And the attorney for the police department and the attorney for the club led essentially the same team, cross-examining the medical examiner, trying to cast doubt about his determination of manual strangulation, it was incredible. It was one of the craziest things I've seen.
