Although a curative treatment is not yet available, early diagnosis and treatment of chronic HBV infections reduces the risk for cirrhosis, liver cancer, and death, along with vaccination strategies, universal screening of adults and appropriate testing of persons at increased risk for HBV infection will improve health outcomes, reduce the prevalence of HBV infection in the United States, and advance viral hepatitis elimination goals.

People’s lives are returning to normal, and the viral wave comes to an end, so that kind of uncertainty (about the outbreak) is no longer there, and there is a need to reconcile the contradictory narrative, the credibility crisis that the abrupt policy U-turn created, this is the perfect time to say that the outcome justified the decision.

These individuals that have recovered could actually have persistent viral infection. So it’s important to continue to follow these individuals and provide them psychosocial support, but also there is an important aspect of research here too, and understanding the science to see if these individuals are shedding virus.

More recently, The Results have come out -- it was a really landmark paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine -- showing that if you give remdesivir in the first five days, during the acute viral phase, before you wait for the door to close, you could prevent progression by almost 90 %. It was 87 % in that study. So remdesivir actually can be a very effective antiviral if you give it at the right time in the right patient, if we can extend this down to children and actually give it to them during the critical time when it can make the biggest difference, finally, we're really opening up more options, because these kids don't have a lot of options.

When that went viral, my initial read was that The Rock probably had a replica skull. That said, The Rock is as plausible a buyer for the Stan fossil as any. He’s got the wealth to be able to make that purchase, at least it seems to from the outside looking in, and there’s a little bit of a track record from Hollywood celebrities expressing interest in fossil auctions. It’s the sort of thing where I was skeptical he had it but there was a possibility.

Despite overwhelming evidence that school mask mandates are harmful to the social well being of children and do little to slow viral spread, Mayor Bowser has not revoked the requirement, you can now walk into a packed bar or restaurant without a mask but if you’re a kid in school you’re treated differently. That’s a shame.

Police don't expect you to be supportive if what they've done is wrong, that's certainly not what we're asking for. What we asked for is that the president and the administration not make a premature, judgmental and frankly wrong comments … next time a viral video comes out.

The Viral Underclass've been giving away vaccines.

Steven Thrasher

When the vaccines initially became available, the ability to prevent symptomatic disease was over 90% so people choosing not to be vaccinated were largely responsible for viral transmission. This is no longer the case, vaccinated, and even boosted individuals are getting infected with the highly contagious variant and transmitting it to others as the ability to prevent symptomatic illness has dropped below 30% and the immediate protection of the booster is short-lived. There is no level of boosting that will fully prevent symptomatic illness and subsequent transmission.

Our story keeps evolving, we started back in 2013. It's the American dream. I had a 9-to-5 job while my son and I were working on a weekend project in our garage. We made a couple of flags together when he was just 10 years old, and we started an Instagram page about it. Then we woke up one morning and it all went viral.

Repeatedly throughout this interview … President Biden seems confused and was confusing the half a billion tests that they’ve ordered with a half a billion pills. And, of course, pills were in the news today with the Pfizer approval of the anti-viral, so he corrected himself, but that was one thing that stuck out to me, but then simply this administration, and the president leading the charge here, really not accepting any responsibility at all for this lack of testing.

I think we're really just about to experience a viral blizzard, i think in the next three to eight weeks, we're going to see millions of Americans are going to be infected with this virus, and that will be overlaid on top of Delta, and we're not yet sure exactly how that's going to work out.
