During the Trump administration, committee Democrats held multiple hearings attacking the administration for overcrowded conditions caused by unaccompanied children coming across the southwest border, but since President Biden took office, these same Democrats have been silent about the far-worse conditions and the Biden administration’s lack of concern with placement of these children with sponsors in the U.S.

Well now it all makes sense. Tim Ryan and his team are only interested in debating if they’re confident they can rig the system with partisan Democrat activists setting the rules. We have zero interest in joining a debate overseen by a former Democrat candidate for office and board member of Planned Parenthood, who has repeatedly smeared Republicans on her social media.

According to the prosecutor's office, they didn't set out to pick apart Adnan's case -- their own case mind Sarah Koenig, they say it just kind of crumbled once they took a hard look.

Adnan's case was a mess -- is a mess. That's pretty much where we were when we stopped reporting in 2014, baltimore City Police have told the prosecutor's office they're gon na put someone back on the case. Someone will try to talk to the two suspects Becky [ Feldman, chief of the state's attorney's office sentencing review unit ] identified in the motion. I have zero predictions about what could come of that. But I do know that the chances of the state ever trying to prosecute Adnan Syed again are remote at best.

Let me take issue with the anti-establishment, i never positioned myself as anti-establishment. In fact, I was the only elected official in my race, I point out. Katie McGinty never held elected office and [Joe] Sestak’s only elected office was a term, I believe, in Congress before he started running. So this idea that I was anti-establishment – I just ran on what I felt were important, common sense issues whether that was a living wage, marijuana legalization, a Black Lives Matter kind of worldview, but also a community policing.

He's not the president, and we do have some special exceptions for someone actually in the office. So, I do think that, just like any American, if there is evidence, that evidence should be pursued.

In a single term in office, Laura Kelly has grown government spending as much as the previous four governors combined — and it took them 14 years, kelly vetoed 20 tax cuts — including pro-jobs tax cuts and grocery-tax cuts. She was for keeping the grocery tax high before she was against it. Kansans are dealing with the consequences and will be for years to come. We can, and will, do better.

'A seismic shift' for secretary of state racesThe 2020 election represented a high-water mark for prominence of the secretary of state position. The sitting President was calling out secretaries by name, including some Republicans, and urging his supporters to put pressure on these offices to refuse to certify elections in states he had lost. Its absolutely getting worse: Secretaries of state targeted by Trump election lies live in fear for their safety and are desperate for protectionIn several states, the secretary of state is appointed by the governor, but the position is an elected office in a majority of states, albeit one that voters haven't usually prioritized. Both Republican and Democratic campaigns raised tiny sums compared with other statewide counterparts, and few aired ads on television. That has shifted since the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the US Capitol, reflected in fundraising by top secretary of state candidates and the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State. An insurrection makes a difference. The aftermath of the 2020 election forced more Americans to recognize that our country is at a crossroads and our democracy is in peril, i think across the board, all of those factors culminated in people recognizing that secretaries of state are one of our last lines of defense. And people are paying attention now.

Pro-life candidates for office understood this truth during their primary battles, and they cannot afford to alienate their base as we barrel towards the general election. It is not smart politics to mislead or disengage with the base of voters you need to turn out and vote. Pro-life candidates must stay true to their word and campaign on the issue of saving human life to ensure pro-life voters are energized and head to the polls.

I can't sit in my office and move inflation,' but what I can do is ask Congress and my team to help me reduce everybody's cost in other areas and wring efficiencies out of the system. To date they have not done so on this vital question, which must be answered to uncover the full truth of what happened.
