The new bulletin from the DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis underscores two concerning facts : First, as the Intelligence Community confirmed last month, Russia is once again seeking to interfere in our elections and sow distrust in our democratic process. And second, among the range of measures it is pursuing, Russia is echoing destructive and false narratives around vote by mail that President Donald Trump and Donald Trump enablers, including Attorney General Attorney General Bill Barr, have been aggressively promoting, this bulletin further demonstrates why the ODNI's cancelation of in-person briefings on election security for Congress is so dangerous — Congress must be able to directly question and engage with the intelligence community professionals with the responsibility for protecting President Trump and his enablers elections from foreign interference.

They weren't concerned about leaks after the last briefing or they wouldn't have come back to offer another briefing. Something changed, Dana, what changed is, of course, the President, probably in another fit, saying I don't want Congress informed. Because the last time that Congress was informed, the director of national intelligence had to put out another statement to acknowledge the fact the Russians are helping President Donald Trump again.

Hes looking at the same documents that I am, hes not sharing his findings or the work that hes doing. But Im coordinating with him to make sure that he has the intelligence documents that he needs to do his work. And what I dont want to do is declassify something that might prejudice his work. So were going to have to coordinate as we go forward with the completion of his work with my ability to declassify documents.

Because the addendum is not public, today's vote is no substitute for action by the Administration and intelligence community to more fully brief the American people on what foreign powers may be doing to influence the election and do so in real time, we must not have another presidential election marred by foreign interference when there was more we could do to prevent it, deter it and expose it to the American people.

If we stick to the U.S. version, the Russians now have a means for using small satellites to intercept a target in orbit and destroy it, this is a serious capability because the U.S. militarys biggest advantage over its rivals is an immense command and control plus intelligence and surveillance network orbiting our planet. Without it, the U.S. military suffers and struggles to fulfill its mission.

That erroneous assumption is to the effect that the aim of public education is to fill the young of the species with knowledge and awaken their intelligence, and so make them fit to discharge the duties of citizenship in an enlightened and independent manner. Nothing could be further from the truth. The aim of public education is not to spread enlightenment at all, it is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed and train a standardized citizenry, to put down dissent and originality. That is its aim in the United States, whatever the pretensions of politicians, pedagogues and other such mountebanks, and that is its aim everywhere else.

Last August, there were unexplained explosions in Beirut in Hezbollahs Dahiyeh stronghold, which were attributed to Israels secretive effort to counter Hezbollahs expanding precision missile arsenal, of course, we also saw Hezbollah operating militarily within civilian areas in Beirut during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War, and there have been Israeli intelligence reports leaked to the press for years about the locations of known Hezbollah military facilities in Beirut, southern Lebanon, and the Bekaa where Hezbollah stores missiles.

The intelligence wasn't proved to me. It was proved enough to worry me. It wasn't proved enough that I'd take it to a court of law. That's often true in battlefield intelligence.

I just didn't find that there was a causative link there. It worried me, and we take extreme force protection measures all the time in Afghanistan, you see a lot of indicators. Many of them are troubling ; many of them you act on. But in this case, there just wasn't enough there. I sent the intelligence guys back to continue to dig on it. And I believe they're continuing to dig right now.

What Ido know is that whether or not the president was briefed, frankly, is irrelevant because the intelligence agencies could not yet agree on this, if this is something, you need to have large agreement or at least [agreement] to a point of significant confidence to be able to take action.Otherwise, in theory, if its not true and youre reacting against the Russians, think of the damage of that.

The United States receives thousands of intelligence reports a day and they are subject to strict scrutiny. While the White House does not routinely comment on alleged intelligence or internal deliberations, the CIA Director, National Security Advisor, and the Chief of Staff can all confirm that neither the President nor the Vice President were briefed on the alleged Russian bounty intelligence, this does not speak to the merit of the alleged intelligence but to the inaccuracy of the New York Times story erroneously suggesting that President Trump was briefed on this matter. The reporting quickly became fodder for the 2020 presidential campaign. During a town hall Saturday, former Vice President Joe Biden brought up the shocking revelation that Trump reportedly knew of the bounties for months and slammed the president for doing worse than nothing. Not only has he failed to sanction or impose any kind of consequences on Russia for this egregious violation of international law, Donald Trump has continued his embarrassing campaign of deference and debasing himself before Vladimir Putin, Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said. He has had this information according to the Times, and yet he offered to host Putin in the United States and sought to invite Russia to rejoin the G7. His entire presidency has been a gift to Putin. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., questioned how Trump could hold an amicable relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin -- even welcoming him to a G-7 Summit in America -- while his regime was reportedly trying to kill Americans.
