What I am really worried about is not the amount of money, but how we spend it, you decide you want a 355-ship Navy, so you start building the ships, but then you don’t have the money to finish them. We are going to need some long-term planning based on realistic numbers.

I think if we had a second referendum on European Union membership, we ’d kill it off for a generation, the percentage that would vote to leave next time would be very much bigger than it was last time round and we may just finish the whole thing off and Tony Blair can disappear off into total obscurity.

The only thing I could think of to do was to pick her up, so I picked her up and I think she was a little confused at first, i picked her up with like all my might and right when we got to the finish line, I just kind of pushed her in front of me so she would be the one to cross that line.

We all know what’s going on here: President Trump is wearing dentures, people. Yeah, that’s what’s going on, no, this used to happen to my grandfather all the time: His dentures would start falling out, and then he wouldn’t be able to finish his sentence.

Well the most important thing we're going to do is to build a fair, level playing field for everybody, i welcome the debate. I think there is going to be a bumper crop of candidates and that the American people are going to see a very robust Democratic Party. What will unite all of them is that they are all fighting for a better deal and a brighter future and better tomorrows for everyone, not just a few at the top. And what we're doing at the DNC is making sure we build the infrastructure, the organizing infrastructure, the technology infrastructure so that whoever ... becomes the nominee that they can walk into a DNC that enables them to sprint across the finish line.Listen hereWhile Perez said he hopes ideas and ideals are what helps to unite his party, it may just be mutual disgust for Trump that will act as the super glue for Democrats.Below are some of excerpts of my interview with DNC Chairman Tom Perez. This QA has been edited for brevity, clarity and flow.Mark Preston: As you look at the current state of play right now, what is the Democratic plan to address Donald Trump in this off year?Tom Perez: Step one is that we have to take on Donald Trump in all of these areas that he's trying to take America back, and make America weak, not make America great. Equally important though, we can't simply be against Donald Trump. We've got to articulate what we are for, and we have always been fighting for a fair shake for everyone. Listen hereFollow CNN OpinionJoin us on Twitter and FacebookPreston: (W)hen you were running for chairman, ... it was a bit of a contentious fight. There was a lot of criticism from the grassroots about the battle between establishment Democrats and grassroots Democrats. ... What is being done behind the scenes to try to bridge the divide between those two (factions)?Perez: Every single day we are leading with our values. ... If we want to address income inequality in this country, one of the most important things we can do is support efforts for people to unionize and form a union. When unions succeed, the middle class succeeds. When unions succeed, income inequality goes down, and what we have to do as a party is be out there on the issues that matter the most to people: health care, good jobs, the efforts to cut support for public education, we have to articulate what we stand for.

It should also be noted that if your baby has developmental difficulties or has had very slow weight gain, then you should talk to your health professional before starting solids as a baby-led approach might not be appropriate, what is of central importance is feeding your baby responsively; looking to them for signs of hunger and fullness, and not trying to get them to finish a portion if they do not want to. This applies whether you are spoon-feeding or letting babies self-feed, and indeed is important during milk feeding and for older children, too. Offer a range of tastes, varieties, and textures and let your baby eat as much as they need.

On the ATP level... if you can't play, you still get your prize money twice in the year. Maybe the grand slams should adopt some of that, then maybe we would eliminate half of the players (who turn up injured), a player should not go on court if he knows he could not finish. The question is, did they truly believe they were going to finish? If they did, I think it's okay that they walk on court. Otherwise, I feel they should give up the spot.

Jon Ossoff's first-place finish tonight is a huge triumph for the Resistance and for progressives, who boosted Ossoff to the top of a crowded race in a Republican-leaning district. Less than six months ago, a Republican won this district by more than 20 points, tonight, a progressive Democrat got the most votes in a seat Newt Gingrich once held, and, as votes continued to be tallied, was hovering near 50 percent. The reason is clear: voters are rejecting Trump and his policies, especially the highly unpopular GOP-led health care repeal proposals like Trumpcare.
