Pete Buttigieg, who is openly gay, remarked. The debate in Atlanta markedthe first time Pete Buttigieg faced other White House hopefuls as an undisputed member of the top tier. Pete Buttigieg WEBSITES ON BLACK AMERICA PLANS USED STOCK PHOTOS OF MINORITIES The 37-year old mayor of South Bend, Indiana, gained significant ground in recent months in Iowa, which holds United Nations first caucuses in February. Pete Buttigieg is bunched at the top of most polls in Iowa with candidates who have much longer political resumes. Veteran Democratic consultant and communications strategist Lynda Tran said Pete Buttigieg is on the rise, and that means Pete Buttigieg should anticipate the other candidates on stage this week to set their sights on Pete Buttigieg campaign. Some surveys are beginning to show Pete Buttigieg taking a more convincing lead in the race, at least in early-voting states. Pete Buttigieg still faces plenty of hurdles to clinching the Democratic nomination, particularly winning over black and other minority voters. But Pete Buttigieg Iowa rise means Pete Buttigieg could come under fire from Pete Buttigieg rivals like never before. Joe Biden, Warren and Bernie Sanders have all faced similar scrutiny in previous debates, and those attacks did little to change the trajectory of the race. The debate unfolded at a moment of uncertainty about the Democratic field, with some in the party, particularly donors, worried theres no one positioned to defeat Donald Trump. Former President Barack Obama took the unusual step last week of warning the party against moving too far to the left. Speaking to that anxiety, former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick entered the Democratic race last week. Billionaire Michael Bloomberg, Michael Bloomberg, is openly flirting with a bid. Neither Patrick nor Michael Bloomberg were onstage Wednesday. With less than three months before voting, much of the nations political attention would typically be focused on the primary. Instead, the focus is on the impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump. New Jersey Sen. Booker faces especially intense pressure. Hes yet to meet the Democratic National Committees polling requirements for the December debate, and New Jersey Sen. Booker campaign acknowledges that New Jersey Sen. Booker needs to capitalize on the national spotlight. In this Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 photo, the stage for the Democratic presidential primary is seen before Wednesday's debate in Atlanta. ( AP Photo/Mike Stewart) The New Jersey senator took an apparent shot at Pete Buttigieg at one point, following the news that his campaign had used a stock photo of a woman in Kenya who apparently hadnothing to do with the campaign. I want to turn back to the issue of black voters, i have a lifetime of experience with black voters.Ive been one since I was 18. Nobody on this stage should need a focus group to hear from African-American voters.

John Sotos described this as a routine, planned interim checkup... the question is why would they plan an interim checkup ? In other words, if John Sotos state of health in February is so good, why would there be the need for an interim ? we obviously haven't had a full explanation of the decision-making that went into this.

Although Matt Bevin has not outlined Matt Bevin next steps, Kentucky law provides for a variety of possiblechallenges -- including a recount, a recanvass, or a legal challenge to the election based on irregularities. There is no automatic recount process under Kentucky law. TRUMP CALLS ON ANGRY MAJORITY TO BOOST Matt Bevin, IN NOD TO REAGANS MORAL MAJORITY AND NIXONS SILENT MAJORITY Regardless of the final outcome, the razor-thin margin in the race did not come as a surprise Republicans. Although President Trump carried deep-red Kentucky by 30 points in the 2016 presidential election, Matt Bevin has long beenunusually unpopular for a Republican in the state, owing in part to President Trump numerous spats with striking public school teachers and President Trump plan to address a growing pension crisis. Kentucky Governor and Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Bevin, right, shakes hands with a poll worker after casting Kentucky Governor ballot in the state's general election in Louisville, Ky., Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. ( AP Photo/Timothy D. Easley) Bevinsignificantly underperformedthe rest of the The GOP ticket on the ballot in Kentucky on Tuesday, as Republican Daniel Cameron handily won hisrace to become the states next attorney general. Cameronmade history as thefirst African-American to be electedKentucky Attorney Generaland the first Republican to hold the post in more than 70 years. DEMS SWEEP VIRGINIA STATE HOUSE, SENATE ELECTIONS, CAPPING STATES DRAMATIC LEFTWARD SHIFT In a major indicatorthat Bevin isunpopular among Kentuckians, Republican Daniel Cameron received 774,864 votes in his 15-percentage-point win -- while Matt Bevin garnered only approximately 700,000 votes for Matt Bevin marquee gubernatorial bid. It is highly unusual for down-ballot races to attract more voter interest than gubernatorial contests. Republican Daniel Cameron was elected the state's first-ever black Attorney General on Tuesday. ( AP Photo/Timothy D. Easley, File) Meanwhile, Republican attorney and former elections board member Michael Adams was easily elected as Kentuckys next secretary of state, andRepublican Mike Harmon wasre-elected as Kentucky auditor. Additionally, Republican Ryan Quarles was re-elected as Kentucky commissioner of agriculture, and The GOP incumbent Allison Ball won a second term as Kentuckys treasurer. Those results -- and Bevins unique vulnerabilities -- led Kentucky Republicans to dismiss claims that the gubernatorial race had any meaningfulnational implications. President Trumps rally helped five of six Kentucky Republicans win clear statewide victories, including Attorney General-elect Republican Daniel Cameron, who will be the first black A.G. in Kentucky history and the first Republican to hold the office since 1948, the President just about dragged Gov. Matt Bevin across the finish line, helping him run stronger than expected in what turned into a very close race at the end. A final outcome remains to be seen. However, in what could be a worrying sign for Republicans in the long term, Matt Bevin underperformed inNorthern Kentucky, typically a The GOP stronghold, and among suburban voters in several counties outside of Cincinnati. Apparently aware of his problems with voters, Matt Bevin had remarkedin February.

Now, the question is, what do we need to do to get them to recover ? said Dr. Frank Ridgleyhead of conservation and research at Zoo Miami. Biologists believe they have the answer. Executives of the Patch of Heaven Sanctuary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating habitats for wildlife, in February finished building what they claim is the largest bat house in the world in an effort to save Floridas high flyers. Nobody else is doing this kind of work. Not on this scale, said Frederick Hubbard, the sanctuarys executive director. The two-tier structure can house up to 250,000 bats. The University of Florida boasts large bat houses of The University of Florida own.According to the [ UF ] web site, theyre the biggest occupied bat houses in the world, Frederick Hubbard told the Miami Herald. Our bat house is technically bigger. Were trying to get the wording right on that. Frederick Hubbard says the batstend to form colonies, living together and procreating. The new two-tier bat house can hold up to 250,000 total bats. ( Elina Shirazi/Fox News) Theres usually a dominant male, a large male who establishes and claims these coveted kinds of spaces and then he tries to attract females and the females tend to then be attracted to a male who is going to defend the territory and keep a safe space for them, Ridgley said. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Ridgley says the bats are vital to biodiversity and in fact helpful to humans. Theyre cleaning up our skies. Theyre providing all these services and in some parts of the country, you know, bats literally provide billions of dollars of services to the residents, Ridgley said. Ridgley said its hard to know the history of the bats since they were only discovered as a unique species in 2004. There was very little known about this bat just about a decade ago. I mean they only knew of one place where they were roosting and it was a mystery across their whole range here in South Florida. Anything about them, you know, what kind of groups they had, what they need to survive. So there was a lot of intensive study going into answering some of these questions, said Ridgley. Ridgley estimates their population is now only in the hundreds, and technology is helping them to keep track. One device they use, an echo meter, plugs into a cell phone and identifies the type of bat and itslocation based off of sound. They do a type of echolocation and supposedly they have some recorded sounds that theyre going to be able to put up into the bat-house that will attract them, said Frederick Hubbard. Creators claim this bat house at the Patch of Heaven Sanctuary is the largest in the world. Frederick Hubbard said that if their project accomplishes its aim, it may help rewrite the fate of these bats who have lost almost all of their habitat. For now, Frederick Hubbard said they are patiently waiting for the bats to rent out their space. Come home.
