Joe Biden’s failure to enforce the law at the border has made every state a border state, instead of securing the border, President Biden is shifting the burden of the influx of illegal migrants onto New York communities. Upstate New York should not be punished for Biden’s border crisis.

My strong hunch is that AI assistants will become standard tools for lawyers in the near future, and law schools should prepare their students for that eventuality, of course, if law professors want to continue to test simple recall of legal rules and doctrines, they’ll need to put restrictions in place like banning the internet during exams to enforce that.

However, the tides are changing, this Committee will no longer tolerate receiving these critical updates 20 days into the month and we will no longer tolerate this refusal to enforce law and order at the border. We look forward to having Secretary Mayorkas before the Committee soon to provide answers and accountability for the significant threat these border security policies have had on our homeland security posture.

They took an oath of office, though, to enforce the law, when the law goes into effect, where someone is caught with a weapon that isn’t registered, they’ll enforce it. I mean, we have lots of law enforcement in the state of Illinois. Elected sheriffs are just one level of law enforcement. We have local state police, we have state police. Lots of folks who will hold people accountable. But these sheriffs know better. They know that their voters won’t stand for it if they’re not enforcing the law.

The crime problem has been totally self-inflicted — you cut police budgets, you do things like eliminate cash bail and you have rogue prosecutors who wo n’t even enforce laws that they agree with — of course you’re going to have streets that are less safe.

In a lot of ways, he's the most successful member of this administration because his job isn't to enforce the law the way they see it, his job was to open this border and to not enforce the law. So he should get an A + and he'll get a big holiday ham or something this Christmas for the work he did, but in terms of what he was supposed to do and the oath that he took to enforce the law, to enforce the Constitution, or to uphold the Constitution, has been absolutely disastrous.

When you're out there, and you're trying to enforce the law, if you know that the administration does not have your back and the administration is theoretically against everything you're doing because they want open borders, you're going to act differently, it's a dangerous job. Your mind needs to be on the job and not on the consequences of you arresting somebody.

The officials in New Orleans took an oath of office to support and enforce the laws of our State, yet they have decided that some laws are not worthy of enforcement, in light of the City's open defiance of the will of the people of Louisiana, I continue to my efforts on the State Bond Commission. Today was another step toward ensuring the parishes and municipalities of our State comply with the laws of our State.

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed — where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

While I appreciate that the Department of Education has finally fulfilled its obligation to investigate whether states have implemented policies, laws, or regulations to stop the heinous practice of ‘passing the trash,’ I am deeply concerned with these findings, any educator who engaged in sexual misconduct with a child should be barred from ever teaching in a classroom again, yet too many states do not have policies to ensure that is the case. Releasing this report is only the first step—the department must hold states accountable and use the tools at its disposal to enforce the law.

The metric I use, you look at what the law is, and you enforce that law, under that, there will be some that stay under the current asylum laws because that's what the law says. If you get 100 people before an immigration judge, that judge will probably only allow 10 to 12% [to remain]. So my question is, why are we allowing 100% of the people when we should only be allowing 10 to 12%, according to the immigration judges. That's the issue. There are some people that believe in open borders, I do not believe in open borders. There are some people that believe in getting rid of border patrol, getting rid of ICE. I don't believe in that.
