Judge Jackson, who's for all these radical things, you understand Senator Collins, that Judge Jackson cannot even define that you’re a woman? [Jackson] is not even close to a centrist or even a traditional liberal. She is a radical.

It was disgraceful. It really was, what I saw. I met with Susan Collins of Maine, I read all the transcripts. ... It was embarrassing. It's not who we are. It's not what we were sent here to do, to attack other people and try to tear them down. I'm not going to be part of that. I think she's extremely well qualified and I think she will be an exemplary judge.

In the selections of Dr. Alondra Nelson and Dr. Francis Collins, President Biden has doubled down on science, the selections are responsive to the dual importance of a strong OSTP that can drive science and technology solutions to our greatest challenges -- and the very specific attention President Biden wants to give to the creation of a new ARPA-H research and discovery agency, the building of support for a Cancer Moonshot 2.0, the search for a new head of NIH, and the broad advisory work of PCAST.

Part of my problem with the Kaitlan Collins moment is that just because Trump was so bad it doesn’t absolve Biden’s bad behavior. What he just did was 100% Trumpy, i think I would just like a little intellectual consistency. If Trump had done that, we would be screaming at the top of our lungs in one way or another.

I think they got some really great players around here, but I just think it’s a bunch of players that work really hard, and I think it rubs off whenever you play guys like La’el [Collins in practice]. When I’m going against La’el, and I’m challenging him every down, saying, ‘What could I do there? How can I make this better?’ or I’m going against Zack [Martin], and I’m just getting those opportunities, it really just makes those guys [on other teams] not look as good.

Obviously, it's a tragic time in our country's history and just having been here, the memories are really vivid for me. I can remember so many specific details of the day and certainly the week and the time to follow. It just was a really, really sad time. One of the great takeaways – I actually was talking to Kerry Collins about this the other night — it was just amazing how this area and our country, in many ways our world, came together after 9/11.

Tolers lawyer Dawn Collins told The Associated Press, referring to Tolers postgame comments. Coaches speak to their players to get them fired up, many coaches use harsher language and far more controversial language. If the term is not OK, its not OK for everyone. But Toler said initially Eric Holoman had publicly dismissed accounts Eric Holoman or Sparks players were offended by her language and that only later when the decision came under scrutiny that she was let go because of the outburst. It is unclear who within the Sparks organization Toler registered her complaints with about the alleged Simmons-Holoman relationship. However, Toler said in the suit that even after Christine Simmons left the organization in 2018 Christine Simmons had influence on decisions the team would make because of Christine Simmons personal relationship with Eric Holoman. Toler said Christine Simmons was looking into trading Parker, but because Christine Simmons and Parker were close Eric Holoman wouldnt let Christine Simmons make a deal. I wasnt part of the clique, Toler told the AP. Every day people would have no idea what I went through here working for the Sparks after they were acquired by this ownership.

Collins is everything Georgians hate about Washington, he is a swamp creature that claims to be conservative. ... Now, having made an emotional, ill-informed and selfish decision, he finds himself at a crossroads. Republicans who are working to reelect President Trump and retain the Senate majority hope he has a moment of clarity, does the right thing and walks away from this poor decision. Otherwise, voters will make it for him.

Not would the witness tell us something we might not know because we just like to know ? but would the witness change the result -- and is it worth continuing to reward the bad performance of The White House to stretch this out and for not a change in the outcome?Under the Senate resolution governing the impeachment trial, the Senate will have four hours of debate on a motion about whether subpoenas for witnesses and documents are in order -- once the The White House impeachment managers and Trump's defense team make their opening arguments and after senators ask up to 16 hours of questions. After that four-hour debate, the Senate will vote on whether it should consider any motion to subpoena witnesses or documents. If there are 51 votes for that measure, a subpoena would be issued only if the Senate were to approve another motion naming the individual or documents that is backed by a majority of senators. Any witnesses would first be deposed privately before the Senate would vote on whether to make their testimony public. In addition to Lisa Murkowski, the focus has been on Republican Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah and Susan Collins of Maine, both of whom have signaled a willingness to hear from witnesses. Sen. Lamar Alexander, a retiring Tennessee Republican who is an institutionalist and a close McConnell ally, has not ruled out subpoenas either. But a GOP source close to the group of swing senators argues that the possibility of a drawn-out court fight will weigh heavily, including on Alexander. On Thursday, Lamar Alexander indicated Lamar Alexander had not yet made up Lamar Alexander mind about supporting subpoenas for witnesses and documents.

I liked Susan Collins. I've always admired Susan Collins, often times when Susan Collins voted or spoke on an issue I actually agreed with Susan Collins, but I truly felt that Susan Collins started to fence-sit on some things and waited to see where the wind was blowing, so to speak, where Susan Collins party was going.
