As nice as it feels to have temperatures in the 70s and 80s this time of year, the fact that it’s not ‘normal’ can have a profound impact on the ecosystem, even a typical spring freeze can damage commercial and back-yard fruit crops that have been pushed into blooming by late-winter warmth.

We should not be here. We don’t wanna be here. We didn’t ask to be here this is something that we were forced into, listening to the reports and everything that’s taken place in this country, this here will not be swept under the rug. I’ve said this before: This is not the 1920s, not the 1930s, the 1950s or ’60s or ‘70s. We stand for something different. No disrespect to those that have walked the way for us and for us to be here, to have a voice. And we’re absolutely thankful. But we’re not going – at all. We’re not going.

I was a portfolio manager in the 1970s and the mood in America was awful, and we are right back where we were, and it really strikes me as tragic for our country, that we are repeating the mistakes of the 70s in our current times because Congress didn’t do its job in calling convention to propose a fiscal responsibility amendment in 1979, america today is feeling the decline in prosperity of families because of inflation at 9%.

This is nothing like the 70s or 80s, crime levels here dip down and go back up, but it's still no comparison. To someone new to New York City New York City feels like things are going downhill, but New York always comes back.

I’ll tell you, it’s great. I haven’t been in the stadium yet. Looking forward to seeing that. But when I played here with the Rams, we were in the old Coliseum, it was a little bit different in the '70s. There seems to be an invigoration of Rams football again. There’s a lot of buzz from the alumni, and you got guys talking about this team in the Super Bowl.

There used to just be a lot more balance, you go look at the top 10 films of any given year going back to the'90s,'80s,'70s, and it was a mix of everything : action and science fiction and drama and comedies. What we see now is just Marvel, Marvel, Marvel, [ DC Extended Universe ],' Dune' -- these other existing IPs rather than original content and mid-range budget adult stories.

My parents immigrated here in the'70s and they came here to build a better life for me, my brothers and my entire family, they worked hard, extremely hard. We didn't grow up with a lot but what I did grow up with -- and I feel like this is lost in a lot of the stories -- is that I had a great childhood.

It was specific, really, to the very tumultuous times that were going on in the United States. In the early '70s — in 1970, 1971 — it was actually the worst and most violent time, cities were on fire and the Vietnam War was finally ending, and titanic struggles had forced them [the government] to stop doing this [after] it had been going on for 15 years or more. Awful. And so, I think there was a yearning for something American. And my song fit the bill.

We really haven't revisited the underlying assumptions since the'70s, which is a little bit horrifying given how different the way we eat, the price of foods, how families acquire and prepare foods, all of those things have changed so dramatically. So this is way overdue.

Alexander Colvin unions are in a much weaker position than they were in the 50s, 60s, 70s, there's opportunities now to revitalize, but it's an opportunity, not a reality yet.

I think it’s something about your children leaving the house and the things that used to anchor you are no longer there, you’re a little bit at sea, and so you reach for the bottle to dull the uncertainty. I sensed that a bit with myself. … I’ve stopped [drinking], and my life has improved significantly. My kids are in their mid-20s and I’ll probably be in my 70s by the time I have grandchildren. I want to be healthy for them.

Even if you're in your 70s,it's worth doing, whether it's a paid job or a volunteer,it’s what keeps us going, i kind of missed everybody.I miss the staff.I keep in touch with people on Facebook but it's just kind of hard for me. This has been a tough year, in the sense that I was recovering, trying to do rehab, andat the same time trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life.

There was something very beautiful and rhythmic about all that music in the late 70s, and for the life of me, I have no idea why anyone thought it should be censored, which it was, but it was a project a bit like making a film. You become a character and you try to fit in with the soundtrack But reinventing yourself is, to me, the greatest fun of all.
