This crime and public safety issue is a base motivator for Republicans, so of course, they're going to keep going into that, but I don't think crime or public safety is going to be the issue that ultimately determines where those 150,000 to 200,000 swing voters land when they walk in and cast a ballot.

This assessment was done behind the scenes, basically without ever contacting me as the sheriff or even asking me what I believe the risk to our public safety would be, i could not believe that we had 150,000 fentanyl pills — one of the most dangerous epidemics that is facing our nation today — with people in custody, that we may potentially be able to impact the future of this type of drug trafficking organization and or cartels in California — in my county — and we let them go.

Right now, we have about 90 % population immunity, meaning people who have either been naturally infected or immunized or both -- that's good. We're moving into the warmer climates -- that's good. This is really basically, at its heart, a winter virus. The numbers are way down from where they had been -- that's good. But you still had 150,000 cases yesterday and 1,000 deaths. That's still a lot of cases and deaths, so, what I would say is, independent of whether there's mandates or not, I think people should reasonably wear masks when they're indoors for the next few weeks, until we're much farther down then where we are right now.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Capitol Hill Saturday. The current draft legislation, rolled out by the Senate GOP andobtained by Fox News on Thursday, would provide payments of up to $ 1,200 per person. They would be phased down at adjusted gross income thresholds of $ 75,000 for individuals and $ 150,000 per couple. Additionally, there would be $ 500 payments for each child. The amount, though, is slated to then be reduced by $ 5 for each $ 100 a taxpayers income exceeds the legislations threshold. The amount is reduced to zero for single taxpayers with incomes exceeding $ 99,000 and $ 198,000 for joint filers. The legislation also outlined $ 300 billion for small businesses to keep furloughed and laid-off workers on the payroll and $ 208 billion in loans to airlines and other industries. Some Republicans have objected to certain measures outlined in the bill, and most Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, have sounded the alarm saying the measure does not go far enough in protecting American families, and is too focused on corporations. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., introduced an amendment to McConnells plan on Saturday, which aimed to expand relief forlow-income and middle-income Americans.Hawleys plan lowers the threshold for Americans to qualify for the $ 1,200 relief. In order to qualify, under Josh Hawley amendment, an individual must be a U.S. citizen with a Social Security number. Under McConnells plan, an individual must file taxes and have an income greater than $ 0 in order to qualify, which Josh Hawley says leaves behind Americans who are disabled, or living in public housing that dont file taxes due to not having any true income of their own. During this emergency our focus should be on helping every American who needs it, including especially our most vulnerable citizens, excluding or penalizing families with lower incomes doesnt make sense. Congress should prioritize lower-income and middle-class families through this crisis. Meanwhile, White House Legislative Affairs Director Eric Ueland declined to share specific details Capitol Hill Saturday on whether all GOP senators were on board with the ongoing discussions over the stimulus package.

I was responsible for getting 150,000 combat troops out of Iraq and my son was one of them. I think we should not have combat troops in Afghanistan. It's long overdue and should end, you are not going to find anybody who pulled together more to deal with what is the real threat out there. We can not go it alone in terms of dealing with terrorism.

At a $500,000 per QALY cut-off, the medicine is cost-effective in the range of $4-$5 million, and at a $150,000 per QALY cutoff, it's cost-effective at a range of $1.5 million, that's the range that we're looking at. That hopefully gives you some of the boundaries.

The government needs to invest about $15 billion per year to maintain current production (2.4 million bpd), and mounting problems will probably lead to a decline of 100,000-150,000 bpd this year, barring a meaningful recovery in oil prices or fresh loans from China in the second half of the year, scarce foreign exchange will probably force the state to default later this year, most likely in the fourth quarter.

It's not 150,000 (migrants coming), that some (in the EU) want to divide according to quotas, it's not 500,000, a figure that I heard in Brussels; it's millions, then tens of millions, because the supply of immigrants is endless.
