Wikipedia

  1. Teleon

In Greek mythology, Teleon (Ancient Greek: Τελέων, gen. Τελέοντος) was known as the father of two of the Argonauts, Butes and Eribotes. Hyginus names Zeuxippe, daughter of the river god Eridanos, as his spouse and mother of Butes. Apollonius describes Teleon as "virtuous" (ἀγαθός), but beyond that, no information on this figure is available. A scholiast on Argonautica considers Teleon, father of Butes, and Teleon, father of Eribotes, to be two distinct figures. This probably makes sense given that the two Argonauts came from different regions of Greece, and there are no direct indications that they were brothers.
