Surprise, Surprise
Surprise, Surprise is a British television programme originally hosted by Cilla Black and produced by London Weekend Television for ITV. It ran for 14 series from 6 May 1984 to 5 September 1997, after which four annual specials were produced between 1998 to 2001. The series shared a production team and host with LWT's other shows Game for a Laugh and Blind Date, and shared format similarities with the BBC's Jim'll Fix It. In March 2012, it was announced that the show would be revived by ITV after a 10-year hiatus. A one-off special was filmed with Holly Willoughby as the new presenter and produced by ITV Studios. This was successful and a full series was later commissioned and began airing from 21 October 2012. On 5 June 2013, the show was recommissoned for a second new series, again hosted by Willoughby. Ten more episodes will be broadcast on the channel in late 2013.
