Wikidata

  1. Spottle

A spottle is a funnel-shaped object, usually made out of a bottle with the bottom either cut or broken out usually used to inhale marijuana smoke when spotting. The term is a portmanteau of "spot" and "bottle". As the practice of spotting releases hot smoke, many fledgling smokers prefer to use a spottle that cools the air before they inhale it. To do this the spottle may be filled with ice. Typically this will involve a plastic bottle with the bottom portion cut off. It is then reversed and re-inserted to hold the ice in. Small holes are punched in the base to allow the smoke to enter the ice compartment. Alternatively the spottle may simply be stored in a freezer to chill it. A more complicated form of the paraphernalia, involves combining a spottle and a water bong, such that after the smoke is collected in the funnel it is then filtrated through water before it is inhaled. This device is called a "spong" - a portmanteau of "spottle" and "bong". The water in a spong may or may not be frozen, or have ice added as a way of further cooling the smoke. ⁕ Advanced Spottle design ⁕ In use
