    Rank-order correlation, also known as Spearman's rank correlation, refers to a statistical technique used to measure the strength and direction of association or relationship between two ranked or ordinal variables. It essentially compares the order of values in one variable to the order of values in another variable. The resulting coefficient, known as Spearman's correlation coefficient, ranges between -1 and +1, where +1 indicates a perfect increasing relationship, -1 indicates a perfect decreasing relationship, and 0 indicates no relationship.
