    Is it necessary, or appropriate, to begin this definition with "This is nothing more than a fancy way of saying . . ." ? It immediately devalues this neologism which is part of a particular lexicon and is beginning to play a role in wider discourse.

    I came here after seeing it in an article at a respected on-line publication.

    Why not: This neologism comes from the Rap/Hip-Hop culture and means "our here." Early usage, such as in Z-Ro's "The Mule," use it as a straight substitution for "out here."
    More recently, it is being used to express solidarity or support, particularly in, but not limited to, writings for a Black audience. Example: For people who have always loved [insert name/music/etc.] to people just discovering [blank] now, we outchea.

    That is accurate and not diminishing in anyway to anyone.
