Wikipedia
macropus giganteus
The eastern grey kangaroo (Macropus giganteus) is a marsupial found in the eastern third of Australia, with a population of several million. It is also known as the great grey kangaroo and the forester kangaroo. Although a big eastern grey male typically weighs around 66 kg (146 lb) and stands almost 2 m (6 ft 7 in) tall, the scientific name, Macropus giganteus (gigantic large-foot), is misleading: the red kangaroo of the semi-arid inland is larger, weighing up to 90 kg (200 lb).

macropus giganteus
Macropus giganteus, commonly known as the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, is a species of marsupial native to eastern Australia. This kangaroo is one of the largest mammals in Australia, second only to the red kangaroo. It is characterized by its large size, lean body, and long, strong hind legs used for hopping at high speeds. An Eastern Grey Kangaroo is also characterized by its long, thick tail which it uses for balance, and its short, small head. Its natural habitat includes woodlands, grasslands, and suburban and urban areas near the coast of Australia. They are herbivores, primarily grazing on grasses.
