GORA
G.O.R.A.: A Space Movie (Turkish: G.O.R.A.: Bir Uzay Filmi) is a 2004 Turkish science-fiction comedy film, directed by Ömer Faruk Sorak, which stars Cem Yılmaz as a used carpet salesman who is abducted by aliens from the planet G.O.R.A. The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on November 5, 2004 (2004-11-05), was one of the highest grossing Turkish films of 2004 and was followed by the sequels A.R.O.G (2008) and Arif V 216 (2018). A spin off series based on Erşan Kuneri's character was released in 2022 by Netflix.

Gora
Gora is a geographical region in southern Kosovo, northeastern Albania, and northwestern Macedonia inhabited by Albanians, Bosniaks, Gorani, Macedonians, and Turks. The name "Gora" is a Slavic word for "mountain" or "forest". Between 1992 and 1999, the part of Gora in Kosovo was a municipality, and its population was 17,574 people according to 1991 census. Today, the region is part of the municipality of Dragaš in Kosovo. The Albanian part of Gora is included in the Shishtavec and Zapod municipalities, while the Macedonian portion is in the northeastern part of Bogovinje Municipality.
