Arctic foxes
The arctic fox comenly known as but also knows as the polar fox or white fox is a magnificent creature of the arctic. These foxes have adapted to their harsh environments and can survive -70*c. They have the warmest fur of any animal in the arctic. Also unlike other animals the arctic fox does not hibernate. There fur changes with the seasons. These animals also easily keep there body heat because of how small they are. They are about the size of the average a domesticated cat if not maybe a little bit bigger but not by much. How they hunt. Arctic foxes have a very unique hunting style like no other. They get low to the ground then spring into the air on top of their prey. They also time there jumps. They listen to see if there is anything below the snow perhaps then they jump into the air into the ground. There attempts are not commonly successfully though. It takes a few times of them doing this before they actually get some prey. What do arctic foxes do in the spring? During the spring the arctic foxes fur turns grey to blend in with the rocks. In the winter the fur coat is white because snow is covering the rocks. Them adapting to this makes it harder for predators to see there young playing on the rocks. Typically an arctic fox will have its young in the spring when the conditions are less harsh on them and they have a better chance of surviving. During the spring arctic foxes will also eat a lot of food to store up for winter. They do this so they have more body weight so more body heat to keep them warm.
