MasterChef
MasterChef is a competitive cooking show television format created by Franc Roddam, which originated with the UK version in July 1990. The format was revived and updated for the BBC in February 2005 by executive producers Roddam and John Silver and series producer Karen Ross. In 2009 Matthew Taylor (19, Leicester) won the competition same year, the format was re-developed in Australia where it was transformed into the current iteration of the programme. This gave the programme a new dynamic.

Examples of MasterChef in a Sentence
I really believe that there are long-term issues that can come out of being too competitive at a young age, a show like ‘ Toddlers and Tiaras ’ which is a competition based on looks is going to be very psychologically damaging versus something like ‘ MasterChef Junior, ’ which is a little bit more healthy.
