This can be done for survival, as a hobby (recreational fishing), or as a profession (commercial fishing). 3) Statistical analysis: It also refers to Ronald A. Fisher
Fisher is a former provincial electoral division in Manitoba, Canada. It was created for the 1920 provincial election, and eliminated with the 1969 election. The constituency was located in mid-northern Manitoba, in the Interlake region. There have long been suggestions that the election results for Fisher in the 1962 provincial election were rigged. New Democratic Party incumbent Peter Wagner was originally declared the winner, but this decision was overturned when a scrutineer from a remote polling station announced that a miscount had occurred.

Examples of FISHER in a Sentence
We're glad (the fisher) finally got protection in the southern Sierra, but the decision not to protect it in the rest of its range runs totally counter to science.
The Bible told me to be a, "fisher of men". I'm trying, but it gets so exhausting to have to reel them in just to throw them back once you realize it's just another crappie.
I didn’t tell Carrie [Fisher].
I mean she was just so instantly ingratiating and funny and outspoken. She had a way of just being so brutally candid, i’d just met her but it was like talking to a person you’d known for ten years. She was telling me stuff about her stepfather, about her mom, about [her father] Eddie Fisher — it was just harrowing in its detail. I kept thinking, ‘Should I know this?’ I mean, I wouldn’t have shared that with somebody that I had trusted for years and years and years. But she was the opposite. She just sucked you into her world.
[The John Hughes movies] were really unique and really fun and he basically got that whole teen 'thing' in a way that nobody has gotten since, except for a movie that I really love that I think is the inheritance of John Hughes, to my mind, I think 'Eighth Grade' completely gets it. Elsie Fisher's performance is incredible. I think what it really shares with the John Hughes films is the fact that it's really funny and yet it's really moving.
