  1. Democrats

The Democrats is a centre-right political party in Brazil, considered the main party within the right-wing spectrum. It was founded in 1985 under the name of Liberal Front Party from a dissidence of the defunct Democratic Social Party, successor to the National Renewal Alliance, the official party during the military dictatorship of 1964-1985. It changed to its current name in 2007. The original name reflected the party's support of free market policies, rather than the identification with international liberal parties. Instead, the party affiliated itself to the international federations of Christian democratic and conservative parties. The Democrats' identification number is 25 and its colors are green, blue, and white.

The Nuttall Encyclopedia

Examples of Democrats in a Sentence

  1. Adrianne Shropshire:

Democrats need to develop a message that incorporates the critical economicsecurity issues along with a message that acknowledges the impact of the rise in racism in the country on younger voters and have actual solutions on how they plan todeal with that, but any message that fails to incorporate those two things willland on deaf ears.

  2. Steve Scalise:

The only achievements Democrats will have to show for their year of total government control are record breaking inflation, skyrocketing gas prices, millions of illegal border crossings, crime, COVID outbreaks, and deadly failures on the world stage, it’s been obvious to anyone besides liberals in Washington that the American people do not support President Biden’s radical tax and spend bill that would make the crises we face even worse, and they need to bury their Build Back Broke bill with the ghosts of Christmas past.

  3. Nancy Pelosi:

With only four legislative days left until the Republican Homeland Security Shutdown, Speaker Boehner made it clear that Speaker Boehner has no plan to avoid a government shutdown, the speaker's reliance on talking points and finger-pointing was a sad reflection of the fact that the Tea Party continues to hold the gavel as Senate Democrats insist on Senate Democrats futile anti-immigrant grandstanding.

  4. Donald Trump:

If you look back, everybody, most of the Democrats, they desperately wanted the wall built. They liked the concept of a wall, but they couldn't get it built. You know one of the reasons they couldn't build it? The environmental impact statements. They couldn't get through because of the environment. Well, that's what I'm the king of -- I can get things built for half-cost, for one-fourth cost, and it'll be better.

  5. Joshua Stockley:

The percentage of whites is up. The percentage of men is up. The percentage of Republicans is up. The percentage of Democrats is down. None of these things are good for Sen. Mary Landrieu, if Mary Landrieu's holding a magic card, then everyone in the world wants to know why Mary Landrieu hasn't played it yet.
