Examples of DOLLARS in a Sentence

  1. Bernard Sanders:

In the long run, what has got to happen on the national level and on the state level is the people of this state and country have got to stand up to the 2 or 3 % of the population that controls the economy, and the billions and billions and billions of dollars owned and controlled by these people have got to come within the public domain.

  2. Corey Lewandowski:

I'll give you a full accounting of the 100-plus million dollars that he's provided to charitable causes through the years.

  3. David Cicilline:

A fine in the low billions of dollars would amount to a slap on the wrist for Facebook. Tonight, we learned that's how Wall Street sees it too - as a slap on the wrist. If the FTC won't act, Congress has to.

  4. Burch Elliott:

Instead of wasting time and taxpayer dollars on political overreach, lawmakers need to support health care that meets the needs of Iowans and their unique circumstances. Thankfully, the court's decision protects access to safe and legal abortion for now, but the decision also underscores why it's crucial that our state constitution continues to protect the right to abortion — and that's why we must fight the proposed anti-abortion constitutional amendment that lawmakers are currently trying to push through at the capitol.

  5. Maine Gov. Paul LePage:

Beyond the health effects of the federal government’s corrupt food stamp policy is the tragedy of billions in wasted taxpayer dollars that buy candy and soda through a program that was originally designed to reduce hunger. Maine taxpayers see it every day at the grocery store and they are sick and tired of watching their hard-earned money go down the drain.
