Daughters
Daughters was an American grindcore/mathcore/noise rock band formed in 2001 in Providence, Rhode Island after the demise of Providence-based As the Sun Sets. Daughters have four releases including their self-titled EP, Canada Songs LP Hell Songs and last album Daughters . The band has re-released their self-titled EP under the title "2002 EP" on April 1, 2009. Recording for Daughters' final full-length album began in late April, 2009. It was released March 9, 2010 on Hydra Head Records. Sometime before the release of the band's third and final album, longtime lead guitarist Nicholas Sadler and bassist Samuel Walker left the group, leaving the future of Daughters in doubt. The band's management has announced the band will not be touring in support of the self-titled album, and that it will presumably be their last. Sadler became a member of rock group Fang Island. In 2012 Alexis formed Fucking Invincible with Dropdead bassist George Radford, Jim and Ryan of Soul Control and Brian L. Mullen III of Artfreek tattoo. On September 13, 2013, Daughters will reform for one show in Rhode Island.
