Wikipedia
caregivers
A caregiver or carer is a paid or unpaid member of a person's social network who helps them with activities of daily living. Since they have no specific professional training, they are often described as informal caregivers. Caregivers most commonly assist with impairments related to old age, disability, a disease, or a mental disorder.Typical duties of a caregiver might include taking care of someone who has a chronic illness or disease; managing medications or talking to doctors and nurses on someone's behalf; helping to bathe or dress someone who is frail or disabled; or taking care of household chores, meals, or processes both formal and informal documentation related to health for someone who cannot do these things alone. With an aging population in all developed societies, the role of caregiver has been increasingly recognized as an important one, both functionally and economically. Many organizations that provide support for persons with disabilities have developed various forms of support for carers as well.
U.S. National Library of Medicine

Caregivers
Caregivers, Inc. was founded by Robert DeBlasio, a Registered Nurse with decades of experience in the field at top-tier hospitals, home health, long-term care and rehabilitation facilities. Robert was the first in Middle Tennessee to recognize the growing need for affordable non-medical homecare services, which led to the launch of Caregivers, Inc. in 1998. Unlike other"often franchised"homecare agencies that have opened their doors in the last five years, Caregivers, Inc. remains locally-owned and operated. Drawing on his deep network of personal relationships in the health care community, Robert DeBlasio is unmatched in his ability to attract and retain the kind of employees who provide the company™s signature tender-loving care.

What we have to understand is where the implicit and systemic biases held by patients and their caregivers and their families may exist – those that are held within health systems and even policies and practices that impede everyone having fair and just access to high quality health care.
Many of our caregivers live in the area that burned and many still don't know if their homes are still standing — still, they put their patients first.
The hippo team is excited and also nervous, as most people know, Bibi's first baby, Fiona, was born six weeks premature and wouldn't have survived without the intervention of her human caregivers.
Children are born with more neurons than they'll ever have in their life, essentially a blank slate, depending on what type of stimulation the child has with caregivers -- being talked to, being held, going outside, being read to -- connections between these neurons are reinforced.
A lot of our veterans and their families have gone through hell -- deployment after deployment, months and years away from their families ; missed birthdays, anniversaries ; empty chairs at holidays ; financial struggles ; divorces ; loss of limbs ; traumatic brain injury ; post-traumatic stress. We see it in the struggles many have when they come home. We see it in the strain on their families and caregivers. We see it in the strain of their families when they're not there. We see it in the grief borne by their survivors. The cost of war they will carry with them their whole lives, most tragically, we see it in the shocking and stunning statistic that should give pause to anyone who thinks war can ever be low-grade, low-risk or low-cost : Eighteen veterans, on average, who die by suicide every single day in America -- not in a far-off place, but right here in America.
