    Astaire refers to Fred Astaire, a famous American dancer, singer, and actor who is widely considered as one of the most influential and innovative dancers in the history of entertainment and films. He had a successful career in musical films during the golden age of Hollywood. His stage and subsequent film and television careers spanned a total of 76 years, during which he starred in more than 10 Broadway and London musicals, made 31 musical films, and numerous television specials and recordings. Astaire is best known for his partnership with Ginger Rogers, with whom he co-starred in a series of ten Hollywood musicals which transformed the genre.
