    Unico was a technology transfer organization that represented the Technology Exploitation companies of UK Universities. It was founded in 1994. In October 2009 it merged with Praxis (founded in 2002) and is now known as PraxisUnico.Unico's website stated that "It provides a forum for exchange and development of best practice. Member companies transfer technology and expertise through the formation of Spin-out companies, licensing, consultancy, training, design and development projects, contract research, testing and evaluation, and problem solving."

    Unico is a manga and anime character by Osamu Tezuka. Unico is a baby unicorn with white fur, a pink mane, and little cinnamon bun-shaped ears, who was born with the very special gift of making all living creatures lighthearted and happy. His friends in the various manga and anime incarnations of his story include Beezle, the orphaned Devil of Solitude; Chao, a naive little kitty who longs to be a human girl, and to learn magic from a real witch; a spunky little Sphinx, and a warm-hearted human girl named Cheri.
