| Vietnam War | this war, like any war, is a means of population control--I think Malthus might agree on this point... To be serious though, there is a small stone monument in The Bronx, NY, with words attributed to President Johnson:: "A WAR WE CAN'T WIN, AND WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE". pity. |

| Manhattan | Where i live, here in quebec, you sometimes see people walking around with "ZOO YORK" printed across their shirts in large letters. "New York" is the equivalent of "Manhattan"...I'm from The Bronx, which makes Manhattan seem like Shangri-la. (Aren't I cruel?!) |
