Alexandre Emile Jean Yersin 1863 - 1943. Swiss-French physician and bacteriologist. He was the co-discoverer of Yersinia pestis the bacillus which causes bubonic plague. Yersin spent much of his life in Vietnam where his name is honoured. He died there. Poster Print by Ken Welsh (11 x 16)
