Am I worried about mass, January 6th-style mobilization in support of Trump? No, am I worried about targeted attacks against the Manhattan DA, members of the Democratic Party, so-called RINOs, or any number of the individuals or entities that Trump has tried to sic his followers on? Absolutely.

I think there’s a lesson in here for us as well, if we just stick to what we’ve always done, it’s not going to turn out well for us. Just because Manhattan has always been where it is, does it make sense that it will be there in 200 or 300 years? I don’t know. But I think we would benefit from being plastic and flexible and adaptive. And I think that’s kind of what the gentoos are telling us.

The fact that the Manhattan DA thinks that indicting President Trump is his top priority, I think, it just tells you everything you need to know about the radical left in this country, it just feels like a politically charged prosecution here.

To hear one candidate say to another, ‘I’m not sure why that’s so important to you’ in regards to crime surges in New York is tone-deaf to the suffering of families like mine, tone-deaf toward women, such as the jogger raped in Manhattan just last week. And tone-deaf towards surges of violence against Asian Americans.

There's a few in Manhattan and other parts of New York as well and it's legal. You go downstairs, it's a basement, there'd be all these different rooms. There was a medical room for [a] nurse/doctor fantasy, there was a torture room, another type of chamber, a cross-dressing room, a schoolroom, for any type of fantasy. It's really like role playing, it's like acting. When people say how did you get your start in acting it's really like the dungeon because I would have to improv multiple times a day on very short notice.

We hope that he is going to hold the newly elected Manhattan district attorney accountable for any failures to prosecute violent criminals and gun crime, mayor Adams has been talking a lot about gun crime. And yet when you look at the realities of the gun laws in New York as opposed to how they are prosecuted, there are a lot of failures there that I hope the mayor recognizes and speaks out against.

In Manhattan, you can go out for anything. If you want Peruvian food, if you want northern Japanese food, you can pick it, but you can't get the food of where you actually are, we felt it was really super necessary and important to showcase that there is a true food of North America and that there is Indigenous culinary history here, and it doesn't start with European history, but it starts with Indigenous histories.

In addition to being the first Black district attorney, I think I'll probably be the first district attorney who's had police point a gun at him. I think I'll be the first district attorney who's had a homicide victim on his doorstop. I think I'll be the first district attorney in Manhattan whose had a semi-automatic weapon pointed at him. I think I'll be the first district attorney in Manhattan whose had a loved one reenter from incarceration and stay with him, and I'm going to govern from that perspective.
