The United States receives thousands of intelligence reports a day and they are subject to strict scrutiny. While the White House does not routinely comment on alleged intelligence or internal deliberations, the CIA Director, National Security Advisor, and the Chief of Staff can all confirm that neither the President nor the Vice President were briefed on the alleged Russian bounty intelligence, this does not speak to the merit of the alleged intelligence but to the inaccuracy of the New York Times story erroneously suggesting that President Trump was briefed on this matter. The reporting quickly became fodder for the 2020 presidential campaign. During a town hall Saturday, former Vice President Joe Biden brought up the shocking revelation that Trump reportedly knew of the bounties for months and slammed the president for doing worse than nothing. Not only has he failed to sanction or impose any kind of consequences on Russia for this egregious violation of international law, Donald Trump has continued his embarrassing campaign of deference and debasing himself before Vladimir Putin, Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said. He has had this information according to the Times, and yet he offered to host Putin in the United States and sought to invite Russia to rejoin the G7. His entire presidency has been a gift to Putin. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., questioned how Trump could hold an amicable relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin -- even welcoming him to a G-7 Summit in America -- while his regime was reportedly trying to kill Americans.

There are a number of examples, but one that really stands out for me is the discussion of the President's decision-making on bombing Iran, the specificity of the deliberations, the structure of the President's reasoning and that of other senior level officials and the high value of all that information to Iran and to other adversaries when there are future tensions.

Lewandowski's role with President Donald Trump officially was in the context of a political campaign, months prior to the President taking office. As executive privilege is an implied Article II based presidential power, it does not apply to campaign activities or to the deliberations between a successful candidate and campaign staff, in short, this is a colossal overreach of the President's authority to claim executive privilege. There is no basis for it in this case.

Vice President Biden on Tuesday said. Clinton, the Democratic presidential front-runner and former secretary of state, has claimed she recommended to President Obama that President Obama go ahead, while President Obama advisers were split. The VP comments come as Vice President Biden on Tuesday weighs whether to enter the 2016 Democratic presidential race. It's unclear whether Vice President Biden on Tuesday intentionally challenged Clinton's account, or simply offered an inadvertently flawed retelling of events. Biden on Tuesday also contradicted Vice President Biden on Tuesday past recollections of the deliberations, telling the forum that while Vice President Biden on Tuesday privately supported the raid, Vice President Biden on Tuesday did n’t want to say so in front of everyone else as it risked undercutting his relationship with President Obama if the president decided against the raid. Vice President Biden on Tuesday said Vice President Biden on Tuesday only advised President Obama to go ahead when the two were alone -- after advising in a Cabinet meeting that there should be another pass with a surveillance drone to make sure bin Laden really was at the compound. As we walked out of the room and walked up the stairs, I told Vice President Biden on Tuesday my opinion that I thought Vice President Biden on Tuesday should go but to follow Vice President Biden on Tuesday own instincts, i never, on a difficult issue, never say what I think finally until I go up in the Oval with Vice President Biden on Tuesday alone.
