Not every customer is interested in your product. However, they are interested in themselves. Over-explaining the product may lead to information overload and losing the sale entirely. It’s best to focus on painting a mental picture of what the customer’s life may look like when they buy your product. Once they’ve mentally bought in, then provide all relevant information needed to succeed in using your product.”

Left to their own devices and with this information overload, families don't know where to start, so they default to this third party system of telling them what's good and what's not.

I now believe that compassion fatigue is a misnomer and that the real name for this condition should be empathetic overload, i also believe that compassion fatigue and burnout need never occur, and if they do, there is a clear path back to solid emotional health. I believe that I have found the path that will quickly bring us all back from burnout and I am extremely passionate about sharing what I have learned with all of you.

After all the success we have had tamping down the COVID-19 curve, we cannot turn back and overload our hospitals, putting our doctors and nurses at greater risk with more emergency room cases, everyone must do their part and follow the rules.

When we think about families with children with autism coming to a game, theres barriers to re-entry, theres sensory overload when we score a touchdown and theres pyrotechnics, we felt the sensory room was what we needed to be fully accessible and the idea behind it was not to change the experience but deliver a solution if they needed to take a break. If the sensory bag wasnt enough, you dont have to leave the stadium. You can take a break, de-escalate, calm down and rejoin the experience when you felt ready.

Much like slow food, I've long been a proponent of slow travel, spending six months to a few years in each new destination with different jobs, instead of racing around the globe to fill passports and Instagram feeds in a sensory overload, slower travel provides an opportunity to more fully immerse oneself in and explore each new place.

When it comes to taking chances, some people like to play poker or shoot dice; other people prefer to parachute jump, go rhino hunting, or climb ice floes, while still others engage in crime or marriage. But I like to get drunk and drive like a fool. Name me, if you can, a better feeling than the one you get when you're half a bottle of Chivas in the bag with a gram of coke up your nose, and a teen-age lovely pulling off her tube top in the next seat over while you're going a hundred miles an hour down a suburban sidestreet. You'd have to watch the entire Mexican air force crash-land in a liquid petroleum gas storage facility to match this kind of thrill. If you ever have much more fun than that, you'll die of pure sensory overload, I'm here to tell you.
