It would not surprise me if eventually it came out that John Brennan was somehow allied with some foreign power because what John Brennan's doing is fomenting the division. You look at John Brennan tweets, you look at what John Brennan says, and John Brennan is doing Putin's bidding every day on Twitter. John Brennan is dividing this nation and John Brennan's trying to ossify the left against the right.

And the President, himself, acknowledged The White House's why he did The White House, there was no cause for taking away John Brennan's security clearance other than the fact that John is a critic, and the President associates him, wrongly, with the effort to find out if Russia was involved with meddling in the election and the President was involved, the campaign was involved. So this is a matter of profound principle.

I think it is, i think John Brennan is sort of like a freight train, and John Brennan's going to say what's on John Brennan mind. I think, though, that the common denominator among all of us that have been speaking up, though, is a genuine concern about the jeopardy or threats to our institutions and values, and although we may express that in different ways. And I think that's what this really is about. But John Brennan and John Brennan rhetoric, I think, have become an issue in and of itself.

Now, if you’ve got a guy who’s willing to put the entire stability at risk because he can’t tell the difference between a joke and a serious statement, then that guy has got to lose his security clearance at least, i wouldn’t want him anywhere near a decision. Would you? After seeing how Brennan responded to a public joke would you want him to make any important decisions about anything? I mean, that’s some scary stuff.

Will the republic stand or fall on whether John( John Brennan) retains his access to classified information ? Of course not. The larger issue here, to me, throughout has been infringement on First Amendment rights and I think people ought to think seriously about that.

I have a unique constitutional responsibility to protect the nation's classified information, including by controlling access to it. Today, in fulfilling that responsibility, I have decided to revoke the security clearance of John Brennan, former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, mr. For John Brennan, the most recent former CIA director, to come forward and insinuate -- on national TV -- that a sitting president is the subject of blackmail by a foreign adversary is outrageous, there used to be a day when intelligence officials, whether they were in office or out of office, would not spew innuendo like that, especially such grave charges.
