    Strasse is a rock/new wave group, formed in Sweden in 1978 by artists Russ Ryden and Max Abbey. The band had several worldwide hit records released on both RCA Records and Luminol Grammofon. Strasse have also worked with the English New Wave band Ultravox, and with musicians Midge Ure and Mike Garson. The band's singer/songwriter, Ryden, formed the band inspired by artists/bands such as Brecht/Weill, The Velvet Underground and German synth group, Kraftwerk. They have toured Europe and North America, and have also appeared on TV and radio shows. Articles about the band have been featured in the magazines Melody Maker and Andy Warhol's Interview. The band's guitar player, Max Abbey joined Ultravox on tour from 1986–87.
