Strane (pronounced [ˈstɾaːnɛ]) is a small village below the eastern slopes of Mount Nanos in the Municipality of Postojna in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia.

Strane is the name of a village on the west coast of Sweden, which has been absorbed into the neighbouring village to form Hunnebostrand. The name reflects the community's location along the foreshore. The name Strane has also adopted by the nearby Smogen Whisky AB for their Strane Gin.
