    Powerhouse is the name of several dance music projects. The better known of these is a Chicago, Illinois house collaboration between producer and DJ Lenny Fontana and vocalist Duane Harden. "What You Need," a track on which they both shared production and writing credits, and which sampled Thelma Houston's "I'm Here Again," went to #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1999. It peaked at #13 in the UK Singles Chart. The track was remixed by Full Intention. Other dance projects under the Powerhouse name include a 1975 library music album, mainly by Al Newman; a one-time release by Anthony Acid; a Belgian techno collaboration from 1990; a remake of "Rhythm of the Night" from 1997 by DJ Ham and DJ Poosie; a Mike Soto and Chris Colan project from 1990. In addition, a British production duo of Hamilton Dean and Julian Slatter, reached #38 in the UK with "Rhythm of the Night" in December 1997.
